He had a brilliant first season and was then prematurely sacked mid-way through his second season. His sacking was disgraceful.

Yeah one good season. Next season a single victory between September and December, at home to Crystal Palace. No disrespect to the guy but we can do a lot better.

Would love to say I'll give next season a miss if Coyle gets the job but that won't happen, it's how I * feel though.

    Why?

He's nowhere near as terrible a manager as everyone is making out.

He's a Epl castoff, much better options out there in my eyes.

I would like Roy Keane to get the job, and maybe Martin O'Neill in some kind of advisory position.

Surely you'rs not gonna judge upon what * EPL wanks think? :smiley-laughing002::smiley-laughing002::icon_mrgreen:

These are the same * that think (off the top of my head) Phil Scolari was a Chelse flop and not good enough to manage in Englund......

If he's not good enough for Wigan then he is certainly not good enough for Celtic.

I would rather have someone brought in that wasn't deemed a risk or not good enough than pull out another wild card and head into the unknown, again.

I'm not considering what the Epl's views on Coyle are, this is my own view on him having watched him when he was managing at bolton after rejecting us and then slowly fading away....

Maybe he would come here and do well, who knows, but there is far better options out there than him.

And Darren O'Dea for Keane's assistant and Liam Miller for director of football. Make it happen, Peter!

Say we appoint a new manager this week.

What would their budget, if any, be?

    £5mill? £2mill?

Half of what we get for selling Forster and van Dijk. That's how we roll :50:

Thought rene meulensteen would have been mentioned more. Good coaching experience at Man U and out of a job as far as I am aware. It will be Owen coyle I think though. He has been sniffing about it for a while now doing his pundit up here and talking us up. Slap in the face to the fans, seeing he turned us down for a trivial small English club when we needed a manager badly. I do know there was rumours that he turned it down over transfer budget, which I personally think is a load of *, because Lennon was given cash to strengthen and bought solid players which got us back to being competitive, and playing very good football.
