Larsson is the most honest, loyal and sincere person in the game. If he has told the club he is at now he is staying, he will be staying.

I wanted Clarke from the start as i did not think Moyes was realistic right now. Moyes if we have any chance of getting him we should get it done .

I would like Larsson to be the manager in the 2020/21 season when we are going for the magnificent 10 in a row.

How fitting it would be, considering his role in stopping the ten back in 1998.

Easy saying that i am sure if the club make a official offer to him he would jump at the chance.

Just saying it's evidence that the board don't really give a * as 90% of fans were against the signing.

Of the candidates we've been linked with, I'd prefer Clarke too.

This. He's been perfectly clear from the start: he does want to manage us one day, but he's not ready and has a commitment to his current club. Most of us feel exactly the same about him.

I think Laudrup would be great for us. Lenny put the team in place to play the kind of total football attacking play that he set out in Swansea.

It would also be great to see someone with that playing pedigree come in.

Swansea's football got worse during his time at the club, he did however have an eye for a player

I hear Laudrup was a head case at Swansea, refused to take training when it was raining and took days off at the drop of a hat .
I think we should forget about nominating a new manager by name and instead list the criteria we want , and measure new man against our criteria .
Does it matter a f..k who the new manager is , as it really depends on how much money Lawwell is prepared to sanction . I doubt after this first year that it will be much . Lennon generated a small fortune and was given a misery budget So no need getting excited at who ever comes , will he be given a budget to match our expectations . I doubt not

I mentioned him earlier, he's a good shout. Don't know what went wrong in the second half of the season, but in the first half he did an excellent job with a team that on paper, isn't filled with that many great players.

He's not perfect by any means, and doesn't have that great managerial experience, but he is a good manager I think.

Martin O'Neill gives Roy Keane his blessing for Celtic job

REPUBLIC OF IRELAND boss Martin O'Neill insists he would not stand in Roy Keane's way if he was offered the chance to manage Celtic.

O'Neill, whose side host Turkey tonight, has seen his assistant heavily linked with the post vacated by Neil Lennon earlier this week.

He said: "Naturally, having brought him in, I'd be disappointed if it went through but I wouldn't really be standing in his way. I will deal with that when it comes, if it comes.

Didn't you read the pages on here when we were linked with him? People were * raging and a good number of folk were seriously saying * like they would boycott games if we signed him and that! Now whether anyone did or not I don't know, but the vast majority of people did not want him to sign because of various reasons.

Yet the board still went ahead and signed him.

Lawwell for the most part makes good decisions, but don't for one second thinks he lets fan opinion sway him. If he wants to sign Owen Coyle then he'll sign him, no matter how much the fans disagree or protest - just like Griffiths.

Let's not argue over Griffiths anyway.. This is a totally different and incomparable situation in my opinion.

If Lawwell thoroughly believes that Owen Coyle is the man for the job, I agree he will go for him. However, I don't think he will be oblivious to the fact that we don't want Coyle at all. I can't see Lawwell being head over heels in love with the idea of signing Coyle either. If push comes to shove and Lawwell doesn't get his first few choices (for arguments sake let's say Moyes, Mackay and Clarke), I'd imagine he'd then go for someone who the fans will at least back such as Garcia or McNamara or even Paul Hartley.
