Our manager just left who will more than likely be managing in the Epl next season yet some are wanting a man that is constantly over looked in regards to a Epl return :smiley-laughing002:

If the question is, can Owen Coyle lead Celtic to the SPFL league title and maybe win a cup, then the answer is yes.

If the question is, can Owen Coyle lead Celtic to the Champions League group stages, then the answer is yes.

If the question is, will Owen Coyle have us playing football that is terrible to watch and will turn off fans, then the answer again is yes.

I don't think Lennon would have been considered for the job if it wasn't for him doing well as caretaker manager. I know we got beat off Ross County but winning 8 SPL games in a row was pretty good for a team that had shown fuckall consistency all season.

He was actually offered the job before, so it's not outwith the realms of possibility that he's going to be offered it again.

He'll accept this time I think (until an EPL side come calling, then he'll be offski).

    This. :50:

Don't like it when it's just the usual suspects being given. Do not want Coyle.
I've said before I'd rather John Kennedy promoted than Coyle managing us.

Coyle wont be off to the Barclays Premier League come in for him. He had it written into his Wigan contract he would only leave them for us.

He's already managed in the Barclays Premier League, he's ticked that from his to do list. He know wants to be a successful Celtic manager.

The longer this goes on the more I think it'll be Coyle. I don't agree with people completely dismissing him but at the same time I can't say I'd be overly excited with him in charge.

Owen Coyle wouldn't play boring football in the SPFL he may play more defensive/boring to get into CL or once in the CL but what do you guys expect?

Coyle was fighting for survival with all the other sides he's managed but won't be with Celtic so no chance of boring tactics in domestic football.

You think him being appointed would be an ambitious move from the club?

At Bolton and Wigan he was expected to get promotion. Can't get that playing * defensive football.

He would not do well at Celtic.

I know that, was that not just before we handed Mowbray the job? The thing that's annoying me most is I know the board will have him on the short list.....wheres the ambition? All i can see from him being here is us slowly moving backwards.

It's important we qualify for the CL and I can't see Coyle providing that.

Of course he would accept this time, he's stuck in the * at the minute and I can 't see a normal thinking Epl team taking him on which is why I keep saying why are we even going to consider a manager who can't cut it in the Epl when we just lost a manager who will (more than likely) be managing a Epl team next season?

I just want this offer and done with, don't know how much more i could take :smiley-laughing002:
