We won't get a single sell out home game if Coyle comes in * the board and there cheap options Moyes, Mackay, Jackie Mc and we end up with this idiot

Larsson has been coaching in some capacity or another in Sweden now for almost five years. He was coaching before Lennon even got the Celtic job full-time!

He's either good enough to do the job at Celtic, or he isn't. It's not "too soon". How long do we wait for it not to be "too soon"? 7 years? Maybe 10 years?

Please please Larsson, just come home :(

The guy needs to be involved with Celtic, he's one of the best professionals ever to play the game. Even having him around would be great. I don't know how I would be able to cope with Coyle as manager

He had it written in his Wigan contract, he would only leave Wigan for us.

Knows the Scottish game & boyhood tim..What's not to like? He will ensure we continue on our upwards trend winning the league. No other coach can ensure that.

Never had sell outs with Lennon.

Coyle solidifies and signifies a seamless transition from Lennon. :50:

Like I said we don't know the reasons behind him turning us down. He had a young family at the time and maybe he didn't want to spend that time of his life in the pressure cooker that is Glasgow ?

I wouldn't be surprised if the board were penny pinching and saw Neil as the cheap option. We can only speculate. What I will say is he is far more experienced than Jackie or Malky. He would be a safe pair of hands. I like him as a person he always comes across a decent guy.

    But why?

I don't understand that. The "Scottish game" is a silly thing to say, the football played up here is much like the football played down south. Of course, not as good, but it's physical like down in England. Scottish football isn't just full of hatchet men like some would have you believe, not every team is out to injure players. What is there to understand about the Scottish game?

I'd far rather have a manager who is a good tactician, can get the team playing attractive football and will be a winner. Owen Coyle doesn't tick all of those boxes.

Good point mate, I dont know if Larsson's the right choice but ruling him out due to lack of experience is not really an arguement.

Until he has proved he has what it takes to manage celtic.
We are not the most forgiving fans and he will only get one chance to get it right.

Owen Coyle's style of football is * rotten! No flair, no imagination. At the Barcelona game I bumped into him and said , please stay at Wigan to him! He got sacked soon after!!!!

We do know the reasons why he turned us down, he wasn't shy in telling us. It had * all to do with "penny pinching" either, the board were prepared to quadruple his wages!
