    Agree 100%

Charlie Nicholas spouting off in the Express that Keane should be the outstanding candidate for the job

Great player - * manager who failed miserably at each job, achieving absolutely nothing.

    Charlie - STFU!

I think Moyes is the most credible, but won't be that interested (or affordable).
Next in line would be Malky and I think he will be the one who gets the job.
Lambert is another that I think would be good, although team struggled at Villa - but no budget to do much about it. He has said repeatedly not interested in being in the goldfish bowl that Celtic job brings.
Henrik? love him - not sure he would be up to it though - Lenny was unproven too we must remember, but he has the mentality for it. Henrik maybe is wee bit too nice when arses need kicking.
    Coyle? No thanks!

Please not Moyes, far to negative, plus he looked absolutely drained by the end of his Utd spell....what the * would he be like if he had a run of bad results up here. I honestly dont think he could handle another high pressure job so soon.........well I hope not anyway.

    It won't be Moyes.

I think it's out of Coyle, McNamara and Larsson. Unfortunately the first will get it, though I'd much rather Henke or Jackie than him. Mackay will end up at WBA.

Why do so many think the board will opt for Coyle :54:

Because he's probably the cheapest option and wont put too much pressure on the board to spend when he's in the job as he'll just be pleased to get out the dole queue. He's also the last person i want at the club so he'll no doubt be revealed within a few days.

Quite experienced, easy option, cheap option, Scottish, tim, pals with Desmond, desperate for the job, a "yes man".. List is endless.

He'll be the manager, wait and see

If I'm honest I wasn't sure about Larsson but I'd much rather him than Coyle, atleast he would generate a bit of excitement around the place.

Must have been renegotiating his contract and proposing the budget for next year and it didnt go well with him so he threw the head up. we will probably never know why but whats done is done i agree we need someone in by monday though

Id say it was a difficult decision for him but hes gone so best of luck to the guy but maybe its gonna work out best for both parties

I read a quote yesterday in which he said he would love to join but not yet

If he doesn't feel ready I can't see him taking it, maybe as an assistant yes

I feel it's between Moyes and Makay and my money is on Moyes

Lennon will have a hand in picking the next manager. He likes Mark McGhee.

I hate all this ex manager has advice on next manager pish, fair enough if the manager has been at the club for many years like ferguson, but lennon has only been in the job for 4yrs bit arrogant if you ask me.

Didn't quite realise how diluded and bonkers Celtic fans were until I saw how many think that David Moyes would be our next manager :smiley-laughing002:

I think, and hope, it's Paul Lambert.

Thinking about it I'd love malky mackay. Think he'd be great up here, he got decent results against the big English teams with Cardiff so hopefully that could make up for his la k of European experience.
