The words coyle and * don't only belong together when contraception is being discussed.

I would feel exactly the same if Coyle gets the job.

As a club Owen Coyle would only take us backwards. I'd be devastated if he was appointed.

    * Owen Coyle. He had his chance to come here.

Moyes was one of the highest paid managers in the world at Man Utd, not a chance will he come here. It's depressing that the only realistic options are not good enough to be a Celtic manager!

I personally would wait till the World Cup is over and try appoint someone from there. I can imagine many coaches will look to end their tenure as an international manager after a big tournament like this after spending so much time working towards it. Thats hope more than anything though

Larsson will be our next manager, plain and simple. It's a sign of where we are as a club. We never go for established anymore - both with managers and players. In my view, if Lennon can do it, then Henrik can too.

Depending on whether or not things are changed drastically in terms of style of play etc, we could find ourselves with a massive problem with the Champions league qualification. I would personally prefer Paul Lambert or Jackie Macnamara. The reason i mention those 2 is because i think they will keep a British base for signing players, especially Macnamara. I'd be more than happy for our signings this summer to be the up and coming Scottish talent as long as we retian the team we have right now.

Budgets being cut all around so i assume the new manager won't have very much to work with apart from the Forster money(when he's sold to the premiership). Larsson recommended Bangura and i think also mentioned Pukki too. If we're going to waste a few million pounds a time of sub standard European players, then i'd rather another manager with focus on taking the punt on good, young Scottish talent.

I guess we can only wait and see but i'd be extremely surprised if Henrik isn't unvelied before the start of the World Cup.

I believe it would be hilarious to have Di Canio at the club. :smiley-laughing002: Doubt he'll come, not sure if I really want him as manager. But still.

He knows he's never going to get money like that again, though. I reckon he'd work here for slightly less than he was on at Everton.

No chance. That is far too close to our Champions League Qualifiers. We need someone in before that to get used to the players. We cannot afford not to qualify.

Stevie Clarke would be a good shout, but will probably be Larsson.

I think Moyes Mackay or coyle could would be capable of success at Celtic but I've got a feeling the board want Larsson to get bums on seats

Jackie mac is the man for the job. Has done well in Scotland with little budget and young players. That's exactly what the board will be looking for, plus he's been a great servant in the past and probably wouldn't ask for McCoists pay packet. Only stumbling block would be the fee Utd would want.

Good point, didn't even think about that. I'm just honestly trying to think ways around appointing a manager like Coyle or McNamara.

If the board cannot find a yes-man quickly, they'll start to panic. And thus, they may have to take more independent personalities into account. So, I think it is best that the search take a good long while.

Larsson is back out to 6/4 and Owen Coyle is in to 8/1. I've just stuck a tenner on Coyle to be our next manager, I just * know it's gonnae be him.
