As long as he gives us fans a wee wave now again, we would all be happy.

I was trying to explain this earlier. If Lennon had started his managerial career elsewhere and had the start that Larsson had I wouldn't want him as manager. The lack of experience actually worked in Neil's favour as there was nothing tangible to judge him on.

Larsson started elsewhere therefore we have something to go on, and he hasn't set the heather on fire as of yet.

I would have The King as 1st team coach tomorrow though, without a doubt.

To be fair, he has managed Landskrona(Allsvenskan) & Falkenbergs(Suprettan).

Traditionally mid table sides, achieving essentially what was expected. Unfair really IMO to say that he hasn't set the heather on fire. Bit like saying the same with Lennon, for in essence winning a league that my left * could win.

If Lennon decided it was time to go I would rather we went for someone who had punched above their weight, like Martin did before we got him.

Getting someone like that though is near on impossible now though. We have a multiple title winning CL manager on our hands right now and we should do all we can to keep him happy and content in his present job.

As we would all, but I cant see it. Will be a Jackie McNamara etc.. Seen it mentioned in few of the Irish papers too, that Double D is a massive fan/friend of Owen Coyle.

Tbh I feel strange with regards to Lennon. Content, but wouldn't be fussed if he left.

I'm sure it would give it a go. :50:

If Lenny goes I would take wee Jackie in a heartbeat brilliant manager and a Tim fair enough he hasn't been at a high level but Partick can thank him for were they are, his teams are at times a joy to watch play some lovely football seems to have a good attacking mentality.

So if you aren't fussed with Neil leaving even though you know the best we will get is Jackie Mac, means you would be happy with Jackie?

I think he is a future Celtic manager, not yet though.

He did reasonably well in his first season at Landskrona but failed miserably in his second.

It's simply stating it as fact that he didn't set the heather on fire there.

To be honest, I am getting a bit fed up with all the talk of possible managers and how it seems they have to have some Celtic connection be it ex-player or supporter - Coyle, McNamara, Lambert, Moyes, MacKay, Larsson etc. Is any other club as badly afflicted with this than us? It should not be a prerequisite for the post whenever it comes up.

I really worry that Henrik could come here, mess up, and then tarnish his reputation slightly.

Lennon was less of a risk; the guy never scored close to 250 goals for us, including two in a European final.

Nah, Larsson the player and Larsson the manager would be kept completely separate.

That would be true for some, but not necessarily all, Celtic supporters.
