No. Stewarding/policing, lack of support from club on this issue. Matchday experience is really poor just now and thus i don't believe a season ticket represents value for money for me personally. If people love sitting on their hands watching average football in all weather conditions then the price of a season ticket isn't really that bad, but i just haven't enjoyed it at all this season.

I will say though i do generally go on my own as the missus works quite a few weekends and my dad only makes it up from England every so often, so maybe if i went on a supporters bus or with mates and made a proper day of it my thinking would be totally different. But I'm just taking it for what it is without all the pre match and post match drinking etc.

Spot the ignorant * here, but on average how much is a season ticket? And can you pay it off monthly?

I think student prices start around £270? * prices start around £350? But I'm fairly confident that's seats in the upper tiers and generally the crappier restricted view seats. I'll probably be corrected. Oh and you can pay direct debits but again not sure exact details of that.

From speaking to Glaswegian season ticket holders that I know, it seems to be a bit of a family tradition type thing, as in my dad had this seat etc etc. does that apply to a lot of folk? I like the idea of that

No I haven't renewed and won't be. The match day experience isn't very good now. The atmosphere is generally terrible and there are some proper arseholes around me

Eh can only speak for last year.

I gave mine up before 2013/14 season. Reasons: finances (mainly) but also travel was annoying especially for early kickoffs and I missed more games than I'd have liked in the 2012/13 season.

Decided just to give it up. If I end up working in/around Glasgow I probably wouldn't hesitate to renew.

Yup, me and the boy have renewed......always will.

Not the best value on offer just now, but the matchday experience aint just about the football for me.

Its about catching up with the lads every now and then for a good session and laugh; as you get older you find the days and nights out become less frequent so Celtic keeps they friendships going and strong.

Its a wee bit of father son bonding too, know most of my best memories as a kid were with Celtic and family, just passing that on.

And supporting the club financially to ensure we ALWAYS stay as far ahead of the rest to ensure TOTAL DOMINANCE for generations to come.

Totally understand lads not renewing all the same as times are still tough.

Over the years having a season ticket meant that I have seen most of the worlds greatest players at one time or another either playing for us or against us, At £380 it is well worth it. IMO there is nothing better than watching Celtic beating anyone at anytime and the whole matchday experience is something that would be hard to replace.

Yes have renewed. Been going every year since 94/95 and can't see myself ever giving it up regardless of how well the team is doing. It's part of my life I can't imagine not being there.

No I won't be. I think soul rebel was spot on, the stewarding is crap and the atmosphere is really deteriorating. Also celtic's style of play is boring as *.

I think everybody should be waiting till the board put the stadium and training ground into a trust for the fans before they renew :icon_mrgreen:

I haven't yet but I will be doing and quite frankly some of the reasons on here for not renewing are bollocks. I'd like to see/know how some of you would cope being a fan of a St Mirren or something coming out with statements like "the team isn't playing good" and that we are "boring". Even to the extent that the matchday experience is crap, well you shouldn't be going for that- you are going to watch Celtic. There are people in far off countries who'd give their arm up to be in your position and some of the reasons dished out here are poor.

I don't know how our supporters club is going to get on this year as our bus driver has had enough of it and said he is leaving the supporters club. Unless I instruct the bank differently by next Friday mine will automatically be renewed. A lot of my mates haven't decided yet and I am thinking I will give it one more season and see how many games the club gets to this year. Matchday is much more about the meeting up with and travelling up with my mates than the 90 minutes of football so I am going to see how this season pans out in terms of the supporters club. If they don't get to many games I may give it up next season.

Giving up your ticket for lack of funds, perception of poor value, product on display are all valid reasons and fair play if thats your reason.

But giving up a ticket at Celtic because of "POOR STEWARDING" :56:
