The original rumour I heard was that he was an established name with good pedigree and hadn't played in England before.

That description you gave screams Soriano to me but it can't be.

Don't recall saying that. Stokes is a much much better number 10 than Griffiths, Griffiths is a better number 9 than Stokes :50:

Pretty sure that was me that was arguing that, still think Stokes is better in a front two. Unquestionably Griffiths is a far better lone one.

32K a week, no chance. Lawell would maybe pay half that, there's better options out there surely, someone younger and hungrier for success.

Get some publicity for the programme, get the papers talking, get us in a frenzy..Who knows.

I'm sure he mentioned it at the very end of show conveniently enticing folk to tune in next time:56:

I want to believe it as much as you, can't blame me for being suspicious though.

    All about the collective
Beric did play against us last season in the game where brown got injured against rapid and he would be an excellent signing if we beat malmo and break out the 4-5 million needed to get him.

He played as a lone striker while at Sunderland from time to time, has pace, and can finish. That was my point. Maybe not a direct alternative but someone else rather than Hooper.

Everyone keeps saying we are in a new era, moving forward as a club after Lennon so why would we go back to hooper? Saying that griffiths and hooper would rake up goals in this league.

I wouldn't take him back for the money being rumored. £32k p/w plus a fee just seems like too much for me for 1 year.
