If this is the kick in the balls that forces Brazilian football to change then good.

José Maria Marin should be in prison.

So does the winner on Sunday get to keep the current trophy the same way Brazil got to keep the old Jules Rimet Trophy (for winning it three times)?

Muricy Ramalho and Tite are two of the front runners to replace Scolari.

Not really the move towards new ideas there.

    Robben ahead of James?

Think Rodriguez has been the best player by quite a distance at this tournament. 6 goals and 2 assists in 5 matches is insane.

Not sure how Di Maria has sneaked in to the nominees, he's been gash.

    1. James
    2. Muller
    3. Hummels

Wasnt expecting them 3 in all honesty, surely there were more stand outs in the youth category.

The golden glove is a bit weird as well:smiley-laughing002:

Wouldn't say Romero deserves to be in there above Ochoa.

I think so. He has been great going forward. He can hold the ball, dribble past multiple players in tight spaces and has a calm head (such as that goal against Spain, where he took Casillas for a walk). He was able to create chances, score goals and release pressure on his team at important moments.

I think the crucial point here is that Colombia would have got has far as they did without Rodríguez. Germany would have got as far as they have without Müller. I don't think the Dutch would have got as far as they did without Robben. Of the rest on that list, Neymar is probably the only other player who could say that.
