There is a thousand things he could have said about him (most requiring a few brain cells right enough) but to focus on that is * * behaviour.

And telling him to "go back to his own country" would imply he knew - or at least assumed - he was in Scotland/England.

And does that mean to say he is Scottish or English? Now, before anyone thinks I'm defending the comment itself, I am not. I am saying that I understand why he would make a throwaway remark in regards to his appearance........like the first thing that catches his eye, and then make a comment based on the first thing that comes to his mind.

I'll make a bold statement here, and say that for most of us caucasian Scottish folk, if we were to be walking along the town centre and you saw a big black dude walking along, I guarantee the first thought that would be there/there about's in your conscious would be that he's black.

If the wee guy had made a comment to -say - Neil Lennon and called him a "ginger *", we would not be calling him a racist or anything, even though he has offended the millions of gingers across the world, but make a comment based on someone's skin, and you're public enemy no.1

In any case, this was a reply made by Griffiths shortly after his "racist" tweet:

'Got to apologise to @zak-iqbal for my comment earlier, was out of order!'

I think he's a great wee player- some of his touches today were excellent, for a striker at our club in recent years I can't mind one with such a great first touch.

I hope he has a long future with us, but I suppose we just need to see what happens.

Usually an apology is the end of the matter..... seems like it was for the two parties involved anyways.

Ah but sure, everyone just bring it up everytime he does something wrong why don't we?

You make some good points about this.

What he said in the tweet wasn't actually racist, was it? prejudiced? yeah but not racist.

The same could be said about the 'singing', prejudiced not racist.

In the first case, Griffiths was ignorant to the guys 'race' simply because the guy insulted him first. (as it was said mocked the guys appearance in return)

With Skacel he's being ignorant again, he's not an refugee he's doesn't know how it feels, he's also well aware that Skacel isn't a refugee - so he problem sees no real harm in 'singing' the song.

At worst he's a moron considering none of us know him personally.

I'm with St Pauli I'm not offended I'm more disappointed, that after him working his * of through various leagues to get to Celtic,he then goes and makes a complete * of things letting himself down and turning a vast majority of fans against him,all be it through stupidity or if that being his true self all I can say is I really wished he had come here and turned things around, because the boy knows where the goal is but no matter what something's just aren't worth the trouble

More than 10 people booed him in my section alone.

Add the whole stadium together and it would add up to much more than 10.

It's easy to make a big political statement when we're playing Aberdeen in a game that means * all.

I'll buy into what you're selling if he still gets booed after scoring a goal in a cup semi-final, or a crucial Champions League qualifier.
