Yeah but it's not really about QT-like discussion and debate, is it? The matches themselves are (well, were and away matches still are) more about communal expression of shared views. The Irish flags and the songs that were sung were always forms of political expression, the GB have just added a few new forms, such as banners.

Im sure they might not personally agree with what political views are being aired at CP, but i bet you they would have been the first to defend their right to have their voices heard.

What makes you think that they think they're better than everyone else?

They are undoubtedly politically and socially aware, more so than any other ultras group in the UK.Their members are involved in anti racist football tournaments, organising food banks, countering fascist demonstrations etc

I suppose it could be argued that someone who devotes the time it would take to organise a full stadium display is slightly more dedicated than you or me,but again, the Green Brigade have never said this or alluded to it,only their detractors.

No one wants or expects you to sit and make banners, but if others want to do that then what's the problem?

Your problem, much like Spellcheck,is that you just don't like their politics.

Again pseudo intellectualism on your accounts.

Define what is political naturism then? Anything considered mainstream?

    Maybe slightly rash, but yes.

Considering the pull they have on youngsters, having several educational they have done on issues such as homophobia, racism, immigrants/refuges, rights when questioned by police etc. That's a great thing.

Add to that plenty of grassroots political work there involved for food banks, poverty groups across the city etc. Then yes.

Suppose its easier to snipe at them though, * pseudo-intellectuals.

I'm not in my 20's, mate. If only.:smiley-laughing002:
I take it that you're trying to imply that sensible people grow out of these views, right?
I was always pretty left wing in my views, having grown up pretty poor; but I'm far more left-wing now than I ever was in my 20's. The experience of living near the bottom of the socioeconomic status hierarchy until nealy 37 has shown me things about the injustices of our system that I'd never have experienced if I had been more successful.

How do you know that Griffiths sang a song taunting a fellow professional as a
"refugee" . The video is not clear . Even the Daily Record is not sure because it says that Griffiths appears ....... Now the history of the Daily Record has been never to miss a chance to put a boot into Celtic or a Celtic player. Seems you cannot wait until the man is tried , you have him guilty even before he is charged by a court of law . What * kind of Celtic supporter are you ?

Jumping to conclusions , worse than the Daily Record ? Are you the type of idiot that whenever you go to a Celtic match , hurl abuse at some Celtic player you don't like. That's a sign of a good supporter , a good supporter gives good encouragement .
I have seen posters on other sites who thought the GB may have been giving a message to the board and Lawwell , not surprising you jumped to conclusions .

Actually * up clown boy, you're one of those * whos' pretending they think Griffiths might not have been singing. Whether you want him to stay, go, be punished or not, at least admit the undeniable, he was definitely singing along.

Are you the sort of * who when a team are 5-0 up in the 89th minute says "well it isn't over until the final whistle!"?

I'm really not fussed about debating Grifith's actions any more. We knew he was an ignorant rocket before he arrived and those of us who had reservations about the signing have been proven right. He should have been suspended when the video surfaced and should be sacked when the enquiry is done. End. Of.

I'm more concerned about the clubs conduct during this whole debacle. That he wasn't suspended and (going by Lenny's unnecessary words on the subject) won't be sacked disgusts me.

Most folk probably just realise trying to have a serious Political discussion with you would be a complete waste of their time.

I can see your point of view about suspending him. I cannot for the life of me understand why you bother about carrying out an enquiry , as you have already decided to sack him .
That seems strangely stupid to me , as the possibility of him been innocent or there been mitigating circumstances doesn't seem to be in your thinking .

Well I am not the only person , who thinks a person is innocent until proved guilty . The video I saw is inconclusive .
I am amazed that its Celtic fans who seem to be most vocal in their concern over what Griffiths sang . I think the Celtic family is in great danger of fracturing . I thought our role was to support or encourage .
I cannot recall saying when a team is 5-0 up in the 89th minute saying " well it's isn't over until the final whistle " However I cannot be held accountable for what I may have said in almost 50 years of supporting Celtic, in a jocular manner . Sometimes people can carelessly say or sing in a joking way something stupid and funny or not .
