How Do You Think The Club Should Deal With Leigh Griffiths?

Think all the histrionics and moral posturing have been way over the top; a reprimand, a hefty fine, and final warning would be suffice, and it would be for being an * not for the more serious charge of racism as I dont think the dafty would even know what a refugee is.

When you sign somene with the track record he has i.e "go back to your own country" incident, then you know your not signing the brightest star in the sky.

 

I think you're right mate,hopefully he has learned from all this.The media reaction was a complete joke though.When Charles Green called that Sevco guy a '*' it was described as 'alleged racist remarks' but Griffiths' idiocy was apparently 'hate filled' and racist to the core.The guy has been demonised and it's unfair,and that's coming from someone who was against his signing in the first place.

 

It's been made a bigger deal of this time because he's been racist before. Hasn't learned, clearly wasn't sorry about the first incident.

 

Fair point Murph, however signing for Celtic doesnt automatically increase IQ, Only a matter of time before he does something else stupid, and then I think he will get bagged.

Reckon the club know this too and will bite the hand off any team that shows an inkling of interest in the transfer window.

although i wouldnt have used the term to to relate to a friend or business associate as charles green did i thought that it probably does make him racist i.e. he is beneath him he is superior to him because he is only a * "my little * friend" cringe

the same with the hibs song about rudi scatchel and refugees it has racial hatred written in to it and it is sung in an aggressive way that he his a lesser human for being a refugee and that is racist as well

but i say im going to the pakis all the time as in going to the pakistani shop the grocers/newsagents e.t.c. that doesnt make me a racist that just makes me a normal bloke of a certain age brought up in scotland glasgow
i also say im going to the chinkies these words are just shortened versions of a nationality its if they are used in negative terms that makes them racist
the term * was used by the skin heads in the 70's 80's as a racist term as it was filled with hate for them because they were different had different colour of skin

Yes referring to someone as a * is racist,you wouldn't use that word around the shop owner would you?

It's because of the history behind the term '*',that you speak of,that the word is considered to be racist,it's in the same category as '*' as far as most people are concerned now.

If he gets hit with a racism charge from the SFA he could get an 8 game ban like Suarez. Leigh Griffiths is no Luis Suarez. If he gets that sort of a charge, Celtic might be better to cut heir losses dump him and sign a striker for Europe in the summer. He's not worth the hassle he's causing.

If you were in the "Pakis or chinkies" and got a phone call, would you say "I,m in the pakis / chinkies" when in ear shot of the proprietor?
