True, the song is still untrue though, I doubt Skacel has lost much sleep over it.

The bill everyones complaining about stems from this sort of thing where everyone got too carried away with offensive songs be them this, the famine song or calling players gay and whatever.

hes a foreign working and living here you think the idiots who sing these songs know the difference

this was a racially motivated song and should be and is frowned upon, hibs should comment on it in my opinion even it's just to say that there fans are not welcome singing racial songs

you imagine if a foreign man/woman that couldnt speak english walked in there while they are/were singing this song, it could be quite nasty

am actually starting to think if he doesnt completetly and utterly apologise unreservedly to the tv cameras then he should really be sacked we dont deserve this as a club

You are missing the point mate, you are right that Rudi Skacel is not losing any sleep over this because it's not really about him.

It's the implied racism that everyone from Eastern Europe who lives here is a refugee.

I know, you know and the Hibs fans know that Skacel isn't a refugee so the song is more to do with his nationality rather than the man himself.

I dont think it is racially motivated. People will always be targeted for something, what they gonny sing about him "We dont like Rudy Skacel, he played for Hearts and was better than our players". If he was fat theyd call him fat, if he was ugly theyd call him ugly, if he was welsh theyd call him a sheep * etc

I doubt any of these Hibs fans are actually racists, theyre just signing a song to get it up a player they dont like.

He's acting the Hun. I personally feel he should be remanded in Castle Greyskull for 48 hours.....He'll be sure not to do anything silly again

I'd be appalled if we used something like that to wind a player up.

However we are much more creative than that these days.

But how would they know if they didnt speak English? Might walk in thinking 'Cool, yellow submarine. An underrated Beatles song. I like this pub '

    Sorry, I couldnt resist.

It's not like we've not sung controversial songs or mocked disabilities etc ourselves. I mind * singing cant even mind the song but the one about Dean Shiels having one eye, Gorams mental disorder, Murrays legs, McKeans suicide, Ian Durrant being gay and that many you cant even mind.

Its football and there will always be some songs on the edge of getting you the jail but nobody should take them serious.

Looking at the video he sits down right away, almost as if he was singing another song and this one broke out...might just be a shorter video i have seen.
no matter what the lad has to learn or he will be gone before next summer 2015.

we're not representing Celtic Football Club.
We're the average punter.....this is a highly paid footballer representing a global "brand" who's on tv and playing in front of thousands.

    imo it's incomparable

Never really liked the Dean Shiels one, however it's not really a disability is it? Still living a normal life, or as normal as a * who earns a couple of grand a week is normal. :smiley-laughing002:

The rest were a long time ago and I think we are passed all that, and rightly so.

Saw a few comments online from Hibs fans saying he definitely started. A few said he sang the whole thing, others say he stopped signing before the refugee comment. Either way, he was the cheerleader.

I heard there is another video doing the rounds that shows Leigh from start to finish.

Apparently he was singing, "Rudi Skacel is a * thoroughly decent chap who I had many issues with but ultimately respected his skill and tenacity...Nanananana." :smiley-laughing002:

True but I dont really buy into treating anyone any different from anyone else. He was stupid as he's obviously going to get a bad reputation from it but other than that its not something im bothered about.

They were but the main point is they are seen as controversial songs or would be and everyone goes overboard about how bad they are but if people want to sing them let them. It's not different from me calling McCoist fat sally or a baldy *, other people would be embarassed to slag someone like that by mocking their weight and hair but I dont know him so it will do for me.

If we sung anything like that we'd be arrested, charged and banned from Celtic park, the difference is Griffiths is an employee of Celtic and representing the club.

If they ban fans for 'offensive' songs then you will have to question their integrity if they chose to give an employee a slap on the wrists for this.

It would be a bit hypocritical not sacking him when they're handing out bans to fans for a lot less.

That's the SECOND time around. First is 'Rudy Skacel is a cross border employee that is entirely legal due to the EU membership status of the Czech Republic nanananana'

    Then the nice chap one.

He also sang 'hearts are going bust, going bust due the financial uncertanity of the owners in Lithuania leading to the collapse of a banking organisation that affected the ordinary citizens. Hearts are going bust'.

But the papers conviently missed that out. Typical

    I agree with this.

However football is genuinely more important to me than morals. I couldn't care less if our players are *. Give me a forward line of Suarez, Ibrahimovic, Rooney and Neymar any day.

In fact, to use a really pertinent example, I don't think any Celtic fan refused to celebrate when Di Canio scored.

Griffiths is our best striker by a country mile and shouldn't be sold (definitely shouldn't be sacked) until we find a better replacement.
