The fact that we don't know what L Griffiths sang is one thing .
There are some courts in Europe who have found that it is not
    an offence to call someone a f......refugee . Now I don't know
whether it is an offence in Scotland, but I am sure if they can
charge someone connected to Celtic with it , then it will be an offence .
The only people who I have read anything about it are two Hibs
fans who say he definitely didn't sing anything about S f r .
He may have started the chant but definitely didn't sing it.

How exactly do we not know what he's singing? And what difference is there in him starting the chant and joining in with it?

When I was in school in the 90s, we had refugees who came over during the Kosovo war. They were given places in Catholic schools and made to feel welcome. Some stayed, some went home. They all became Celtic fans because of the community they were welcomed into.

Would you go up to one of those Celtic supporters and call him a "* refugee", and when get gets offended tell him to get over it because he's just being uptight and PC? After all, it's not at all racist.

Griffiths is an *. I didn't want us to sign him in the first place, part of the reason being it was only a matter of time before he did something like this.

The problem with Griffiths is that singing this song about Skacel isn't an isolated incident. He's already made a racist remark to someone on Twitter so you have to wonder if he's just that * stupid or if he actually has some racist inclinations. Either way he's a liability.

If Griffiths was playing for Hearts or Sevco and he was caught singing a song that referred to an Irish player as a refugee this forum would be going apeshit. Rightly so too. I'm afraid we can't just turn a blind eye to it because he's a Celtic player and it was a player from a country other than Ireland that was being called a refugee.

Celtic should bump him before he makes a * of himself again, which he almost certainly will, and I hope they do.

    Skacel isnt a refugee though.

This would be more like someone calling Samaras a baldy * or Griffiths a fat * or Neil Lennon a hun.

    Not really.

Singing he is a refugee is generalising on his nationality, that's where the racism comes in.

Except none of your listed examples carry racial connotations. Two of your instances are within the control of the person they're being aimed at. It doesn't matter whether Skacel is a refugee or not, they sing it because he's Eastern European and it is a racially charged insult. It's simply out of order, and it's not being overtly concerned with being PC. I doubt anyone on this forum would accuse me of that.
