I think the Daily Record were hoping that Celtic would not reprimand or fine Griffiths and then the sad * could get tore into us. All the while ignoring all the bigotry and * coming from the Ramsdens Cup Runners Up on a weekly basis

Yeh just found it online, I hadn't heard about it. I was at the game at Tannadice, and assumed the 'he sings what he wants' chants were about the Hearts are going bust song.
Just got home after a ten * hour drive!

Can't see the club sacking a player we've just spent £1m on. If it was a youth or fringe player it might be a different case.

I think he should apologise and be given a final warning to stop acting like a bawbag

Good post mate, wondered if this would be mentioned. Why the * did it take six days, good guess they had this video last week when some sewer rat decided to cash in.

The chants yesterday were about Hearts going bust. This only came out this morning and despite what one or two lunatics on here think I would be amazed if the Celtic support offered Griffiths the same level of support over this as they did the original video.

not talking about us/Celtic trying to shift the blame on to hibs

but genuinely wondered if the reporters or any reporters has asked hibs to comment on the fact that their fans were singing racially motivated songs or about there rivals going bust

just wondered if hibs were asked and if they commented or appologised for the behavior of their fans Griffiths being one of them as well

Are the people voting that he did nothing wrong joking?

Lennon said racist behaviour is a sackable offence. We'll now see whether he has any balls.

I think considering this was not 2 separate incidents, then Celtic should deal with this as one.

Get him to issue a public apology, as well as one to Skacel, and hit him with a hefty fine and give it to charity.

Send him to anti-dopey classes, and one more incident and he's out the door.

I would only hazzard a guess it's all just a clever little marketing ploy by the daily record to sell the rag and bring attention to them, to have two "exclusives" on the same day probably wouldn't bring the long term "exposure" they want.

NO other reason then to just keep themselves high in sales and views online.

That makes sense, I'd be disappointed in Celtic fans thinking it was okay. Like I said, I have only just got home after leaving Dundee at 10 this morning, so that explains how I missed the fuss, I need to changer my vote in the poll!

I think this won't be far off how it's handled..

He's crossed the line in the name of the club, last chance now. .

    Really is so frustrating.

In my own opinion, he should be sacked. As an employee of Celtic he should know better, whether he was with his mates in a pub or not. The attention and scrutiny comes with the job unfortunately and he has let himself down majorly.

If I sang a song like that outside of my job and was caught red handed, chances are I'd be sacked, and whilst I'd plead my case, I couldn't really have too many complaints. I'd just have to accept I'd let myself down and try to do better in the future.

See what happens, though. It will be a hefty punishment that's for sure.

    Fair point:50:

Hibs dont sell like we do so the answer is probably no, but to be fair that is great point the underlying theme here is that he with HIBS FANS! there is video footage and a couple of faces their that could be looked at so this offensive song * does it only relate to football stadiums or the general public too?.

Maybe then if it does those who rated him out won't feel so clever for landing themselves in it to:56:

If Lee McCullough sang "John Daly is a * refugee" you'd be foaming at the mouth, this has nothing to do with political correctness.

He was also on video singing about Rudi Skacel being a '* refugee'. I agreed with heavily punishing him but letting him stay at the club but the more I watch the video I'm sort of leaning towards sacking him altogether. * disgrace and I don't think it would be a harsh decision either. He needs to know this sort of * won't be accepted when you're representing Celtic.
