He has been stupid, Celtic should punish him in the mean time and take it from there. Everyone deserves a second chance but it should be made clear that that sort of behaviour wont be tolerated form a Celtic player and if he continues public displays like that then we will ship him out.

Bit of banter you wouldn't be upset if it was a normal guy and he wasn't representing celtic he was there as a hibs fan.

Benching him or banning him will do nothing but frustrate the player and have an adverse affect on the team. Get him to apologise, clear the air and then get on with playing football.

 

First of all it is the Daily Record that bought this into the public domain . The Daily Record has a history of Celtic exclusives . This exclusive took 6 days until it was released . I know the D R may not have access to the latest I T or IT ability but even they would given time

i dont buy papers anymore so dont know if they have apolgised on behalf of their fans singing about hearts going bust and immigrants

it would be ridiculous in my opinion if griffiths or as we call him affectionalatley "The Thumb" is the only one singled out for being bad so to speak

I have obviously missed something. I have voted 'he has done nothing wrong' assuming this was about the Hearts song, what else has he done?

 

I think what people need to remember is the Griffiths is basically a public figure now and is I assume to be a "role model" because he is such.

What ordinary fans do is of no relevance sadly because Griffiths is not an ordinary fan he is a public figure who is employed by Scotland's biggest football team.

I can wrong so please mistake me if I'm but even if we tried to do a point scoring * for tat here against other clubs (including us) and it's fans how many times has the club gone on record to apologise? From my experience it seems to only happen if the club itself gets into trouble with the authorities and get fined ect.., so unless that has happened I don't remember a case where clubs have come out and apologised if they weren't initially in trouble to begin with?
