Look mate anyone who was at the thistle that night last year knew he was finished there and then! He is a lucky boy some celtic fans didn't stick on right on his coupon that night (the pro Lenny supporters).

Watt being sent to Belgium was to get him away from the *'s he is associating himself with and to show him who's boss, he was all set for Aberdeen and Lenny pumped him off to Belgium, the fact the he states he doesn't plan to sell him but will look at bids is saying to me and many others, look whoever bids high enough over what we value him at he will be off, out of all the strikers at CP just now I would guarantee that only stokes and griffiths will be there come the close of the summer window.

Balde will be loaned, Pukki will be punted as will watt, Fridjonsson will be loaned or left to develop, samaras and atajic will not renew or have their contracts renewed.

The amount of dead wood our front line is carrying is frightening.

Getting shot of Sammy, Pukki, watt and atajic would probs free up circa £35k-£40k a week in wages.

Use that's along with the budget and get an out and out goal scorer in, I hear Gary hooper isn't too impressed with life at Norwich.......

Think Zaluska or Forster will be leaving, heard we are in for Jamie MacDonald of Hearts.

We'll see. I know that there would be many Celtic fans * off with Lennon if he sold the most exciting young player Scottish football has seen in years over some petty personal differences - if they even exist.

Gary Hooper's gone, he's not coming back and we certainly wouldn't offer him anywhere close to the money he'd want. Why people would want him back after he left us for Norwich * City, I've no idea. He thought he'd have it better elsewhere, he doesn't. Tough. Celtic aren't a fall-back when things don't work out.

Don't think there's anything in that, mate. I certainly hope there isn't.

  6. I hope we don't sell watt but the comments have me leaning to the possibility that any half decent deal and he could be off..
Also a possibility that he could be used to broker a deal and bringing a striker in,say from the championship...but that's just my head wondering..

As vert said this guy is the best promising scottish striker to come out of the country in over a decade,I hope whatever the fuss all seems to be can be blown over and sorted out as we have a future star on the verge of slipping away..

Ross mccormack mentioned above would be a top signing domestically,I'm not sure about at european level..
More scotland caps would give us a better judgement on that but aswell he's a small nippy forward and we already have slightly similar with griffiths mainly and the to a lesser extent stokesy,we need a different bulldozer type forward not afraid to stick the nut on anything and anyone when the opportunities come..
Ross is a big tim but he's absolutely idolised and seen as one of there own amongst the fans, his charity turn outs and stuff for a leeds fan killed is just one of many things the leeds fans idolise hime for..
He's also way out infront on the scoring charts in a pretty poor leeds side and they'd be looking for 5 mill plus..easily I reckon,so it's a no goer..

McCormack is a good shout if Leeds go into admin could be lower than £5m rift enough.

Listen I agree watt is exciting talent, but it was bad that night, he lost the plot, I know the lierse manager seems to blame him for everything but I don't know 2 managers can't be wrong can they..........

Is McCormack the one that's the Celtic fan?

Haven't seen much of him so I can't really make a judgement. Decent record in the Championship if he doesn't always play as an out and out striker. Must be doing something right if he captains Leeds as well.

To be fair that rant about Gary Hooper is all bollocks, he was open from very early in his time here about it being his dream to play for England and he thought he'd have a greater chance by playing in the Premier League. It wasn't about 'having it better' or earning more money, otherwise he would have joined QPR. The guy was just chasing his dream and if it doesn't work out for him i'd welcome him back with open arms.

  12. Are folk saying that if they had the chance, they wouldn't sign Hooper??

So if Larsson's move to Barca never worked out you wouldn't of had him back because we are not a ''fall back club"?

Don't use the old "that is Larsson, that is different" patter. A lot of bitter people in here over Hooper. Is he not allowed dreams and aspirations? He achieved everything he could here, he wants to play for England end of. Some fans are like clingy girlfriends, won't let players leave and if they do they are the scum of the earth.

Clingy girlfriends? :56: Let's run with that analogy. If a guy chucks a girl because there's a more attractive one down the road, should she just take him back if it doesn't work out between them? :smiley-laughing002:

You rightly pointed out that there's no comparison to be made between Larsson and Hooper. Larsson left for Barcelona. Hooper left for Norwich.

Lustig is the best player I've seen at Celtic in years.

Technically not the best best player I've seen for years. But he is one player I would like to see him finish his career here! Looks like he loves every minute on the pitch for us. Gives 100% every time. Even when others don't look so interested. Love his celebrations after a goal or after a result. The Scandinavians mostly seem to get our club!:50:

How many teams have the following internationals on their books at a similar level to us?

seriously, dont know how lucky we are with the quality we have, could always be better but to sell players right left and centre, nah not for me.

    Goalkeeper - England international
Right Backs - Swedish international and welsh international
Centre Back - Nigerian international and Virgil (should be in dutch squad)
Left Back- Honduran international and scottish international (mulgrew)
    Right mid - Scottish international
Centre mids - 2 Scottish internationals, 2 israeli internationals, norweigan international, australian internaitonal
    Left mid - greek international
striker - finnish international, scottish international, Irish international

we all have our lists but realistically what will lennons budget be £5m tops?

remember our board are tight as *, i would like to expect lennon to get around £15m this summer, due to the fact he has brought in circa £37m from 2 cl campaigns, £15m in domestic prize money from 3 championships, and player trading profit of circa £18m

doesnt cost £70m to run celtic over 3 seasons along with circa 40,000 season tickets sold per season as well as a reduced wage bill of 43% since he took over. plus a overdraft sitting there????
