Who will you support? - Scotland vs Ireland

I agree, this competition should be between planet earth and Mars.

 

Why should I be when Scotland isn't fully behind me? Ireland over Scotland form me and always will be until such times as I am not viewed with suspicion or derision for being an Irish Scot

 

Ideally no competition between countries should happen. A stateless socity is what we people should and must be striving for.
What looks like a harmless football competition is (maybe unintentionally) a stirring up of nationalism within the state. States where formed when the feudal system was disbanded, every state is manufactured from the capitalist system.
No states = no wars. We are one!

Huns love England, so there's no real comparison.

 

Any Scottish person that supports Ireland over these two ties needs to have a serious word with themselves.

They aren't all Huns and it isn't all anti-Irish. Some are just angry they picked Ireland over Scotland. They shouldn't be angry at the players though, they should be angry at the SFA.

 

I knew a few Scottizh lads who do not give a * about Scotland.

Stems from years of shoddy treatment of celtic from the sfa and fans years back.

 

Am Scottish so I will support Scotland.

Hope Ireland do well and make the play-off, that's if we get second place.

They're my team because I feel more affiliated with Scotland over Ireland despite being Irish. I was raised in Scotland from when i was 2. Don't see why I should primarily support Ireland just because I wad born there.

 

I sympathise with both teams since they usually have our players in their teams but support neither. It wouldnt affect me if none of them won any games.

 

How are defining a "Scottish person" though ?Is it just somebody that is born in Scotland and that is it ?

Extreme example somebody is born in Scotland but later that week is taken to say England and is brought up there and never returns to Scotland. Would you have a problem with them not supporting Scotland.

Long and short of it if you want to support Scotland support Scotland if you want to support Ireland support Ireland.

If you have a problem with anybody elses choice have a word with yourself.

 

Unlike many of your compatriots I do think you have every right to choose what ever country you feel closest to.
