Milliband just committed political suicide. He stated live on tv that he would rather hand the keys to the Tories than ever work with SNP. A lot of No voters will be shaking their heads tonight.

Did Milliband just say that he would rather have a Tory Government than accept the democratic will of the Scottish people?

@Ed_Miliband says he would refuse to form minority govt if @UKLabour depended on @theSNP to secure it. "Not going to sacrifice" UK #GE2015

Miliband admitting he'd rather have Cameron as PM than let Scotland participate in British democracy.

A #Labour leader who would rather let a Tory PM remain in No 10 than accept a vote-by-vote deal with the #SNP is not worthy of the role.

And btw, @scottishlabour that means you/he/labour will ignore the democratic choice of Scottish voters. I am almost speechless. #GE2015

Well congrats to Ed Milliband who managed to both kill Scottish Labour and any illusions that the Union is somehow a democracy. #bbcqt

When the man favourite to be PM declares that elected Scottish MPs can NEVER be allowed in govt, that is a constitutional crisis. #BBCQT

    People will though.

    To quote Frankie Boyle:

"Vote for Labour cos that's what they had in yer Da's time and in your Granda's time. Also vote for Polio."

People are so easily influenced when it comes to voting - especially with reference to the past.

Labour are a no go for Scotland.

I would be astonished if they achieve a seat now in Scotland.

They have made so much movement towards the right they are essentially Tories under a different mask.

    Easy SNP win for Scotland.

From what I've seen it will be split between Labour and the Tories in England with a few UKIP and Lib Dem seats.

As has been said how can a government be formed on this basis?

The UK will be scared of the SNP and rightly so - they will take more of what Scotland deserves than any other party and rightly so.

It's time to buck up and accept that the UK needs Scotland more than Scotland needs the UK.

All of the leaders have a warm treacle of * running down their leg because the SNP are the key in this election.

They don't want to give Scotland anymore than it has, despite that it deserves so much more.

I am not Scottish but I would like to have a say in this as I don't have Celtic as my only link to Scotland. I also always loved a big number of Scottish bands, I have been there so many times, I am what one would call a "scotophile" (?). If I could choose my country of birth it certainly would be Scotland (or Uruguay, maybe). I follow the news closely and I even got moody for a week after the referendum.

That said, I follow politics in the entire world, and once again, electorates bored and frustrated with the same gang of old parties taking turns in power would be jealous of the chance scots have in the hand. Of a new party, with a trustable record in power, policies different from the other same old liars, which actually has a chance of winning, among the options in the ballot. Don't throw it away (again). For the sake of every single leftist, center left, centrist, or not a neoliberal rightwing bigot in Europe in the world, don't waste one of those rare chances that you actually have a say in your future (and you had two in a recent period of time). The country I live at (Sweden) and the country I was born at (Brazil) had elections last year. In both cases, we had a bunch of crooks spending massive amounts of money to buy peoples votes and getting away from it, that from the beggining had very little chance to be defeated, and even the so called "red" alternative wasn't that red and wasn't that much of an alternative.

I am not saying SNP are a mixture of Lenin and Nelson Mandela. But this is one of the rare circumstances on life when it could be like in the movies, where the bad guy goes down and dies (to quote Glasvegas, one of the other things bar Celtic that makes me love Scotland). Don't let Labour and Tories once again get away with all their bullying, fear, lies and all their rentboys in the press doing the dirty stuff for them. I am from a third world country and rarely I have seen such a pathetic bunch of liars and manipulators like these two. If you forgive them for what they done, you will be sending the message that these strategies work. And they will do it again. And you will no longer have a chance.

Of course, I don't want to sound like I am telling Scots what to do. But *, how much I would love to have a chance to give a big kick in the * of the brazilian or swedish equivalent of Jim Murphy, a careerist, corrupt, warmonger, liar, that above all of this uses our club in a divisive way to rump up votes. If you kind of undecided, think that most of "fake celts" abroad, who learned about the history of this club, the Green Brigade and all involved and don't happen to be scottish, would never forgive lying * like Murphy and Cameron.

    Sorry for the rant.

Can't believe Milliband said he would rather a Tory goverment than work with the SNP. That's definitely sealed it for me, outrageous. My X will be going on SNP.
