Leigh Griffiths

  1. This and also he has a very good habit of proving everyone wrong so will score a hatrick and become the greatest European class striker we've had since larson.

Then he'll dead ball chip the winner to put us to the last 16.

I mentioned Sinclair as I think it's imperative he play as well. I don't know where or what formation you'd play, whether a 4-5-1 or a 5-4-1 but his defensive awareness as well as offensive skill is crucial for us if we want a point or 3 against them in both ties against Barca.

  2. He could score 3 against Barca and he'd still get slagged about missing that "sitter" of a chip against Hearts :56:

  3. We've actually got a decent record at the Nou Camp bar that 6-1 defeat.

    0-0
    1-1
    1-0
    2-1
    6-1

Drawn twice and only lost by a single goal twice.

Seems we're a bit of a bogey side to them with no real pumpings, our home record isn't too bad also.

    1-0
    1-3
    2-3
    2-1
    0-1

No real pumpings amongst any of them bar the 6-1 defeat. Let's hope this run continues, if we could get a draw in the Nou Camp Man City would start bricking it slightly because they'll be expecting us to take a doing.

  4. Very good, but this is the Leigh Griffiths thread. :smiley-laughing002:

  5. So it is. :50::52:

  6. Whats happening with griffiths is he fit? Seeing all over facebook hes injured? All from unreliable sources right enough but still got me worried.

  7. Celtic talisman Leigh Griffiths has prompted concern from the Celtic support after it was revealed he missed today’s training session ahead of this weekend’s game.
The striker who had to pull out of the Scotland squad last week is seemingly struggling with a calf injury that could see him miss out against newly promoted The Rangers.
Leigh has been a pivotal figure for Celtic going back as far as two seasons ago and if he were to miss the game it would be a big blow for Celtic.
We have no news yet on how bad the injury is and sitting out today could have been a precaution on Rodgers part.
Celtic have a plethora of choices in attack if the player was not fit enough to play, Dembele would no doubt slot in between Forrest and Sinclair.

  8. Wheres that from?

  9. It was off something like the Celts are here. I don't have the link because I am back at work

  10. Even if he's missing, Dembele, Roberts and Sinclair'll be more than enough. Even Ciftci would be fine. :smiley-laughing002:

  11. Thats gutting if he doesnt make it, i know we will be fine without him but hes a hunskelper through and through and should be on the park :54:

  12. Alison Conroy ‏@AlisonGConroy Leigh Griffiths missed Celtic training today and is having a scan. Brendan Rodgers says they'll make a decision on game v Rangers after that

  13. My feeling is that it was just a precaution and he will start

  14. BR on @Leighgriff09 fitness: "Leigh wasn’t able to go away with the national team as he’d suffered a bit in the last home game."

BR: "Had a week’s rest, trained with us this week. Today was a light day so there was no need to risk him."

BR: "He had a scan and we’ll see how that is over the next 24 hours.

  15. sounds like he will be playing. rodgers said hes looked good in training and missed today as it was a light session and didnt see the point risking him as he has a scan today aswell.

    sounds promising

  16. Yeah sounds like he'll be grand.

  17. Yep, said exactly the same in match thread :50:

  18. Sounding pretty positive. It's not even that vital that he's fir for Saturday, we have more than enough firepower to deal with sevco on saturday, but missing a few CL games would be *.
