I'd imagine he'll be a bit gutted but he'll get other chances.

More to the point. What's the injury?

Smarter to get the hammy rested ahead of Rangers and CL ties.

A shame he still won't get a chance for Scotland, but Celtic comes first.

WGS wouldn't have played him, anyway.

Scotland's World Cup hopes were dealt a severe early blow on Tuesday night when Leigh Griffiths, Kieran Tierney and James McArthur all withdrew from the squad to face Malta in Sunday's opening qualifier.
Griffiths had his troublesome hamstring assessed before Scotland medics confirmed he would be unable to play, and Celtic will be concerned his injury also rules him out of the first Old Firm game of the season a week on Saturday.

There's a rumour he's been playing with tendinitis in his hamstrings? Same thing Broony suffered with last season.

May explain the lack of dead-ball chips in recent weeks.

To be fair Scotland should beat Malta without him anyway, just make sure he's ready to score 2 winners in England in the next few months

What's the latest with Griff? Sky sports reporting him as an injury doubt this morning. With Sevco game so close, starting to sweat a wee bit for the wee man. Hope he's 100% against the zombies. Would be a disaster if he starts, struggles and then hobbles off in the first 20 mins or so. Hope the wee man smashes a hat trick past these zombie *.

It is absolutely crucial he is fit for Saturday. He will run amock against that defence.

More crucial for Barca for me, think Dembele would run amok against that mob as well.

Funny, I see it the other way around.:smiley-laughing002:

I think Dembele would be more effective at the Nou Camp.

Dembele is better with his back to goal and he's more of a power runner rather than just pace so I'd tend to agree.

That being said Griff is our number 1 striker, how could you possibly leave him out of the game of his life in the Camp Nou. Specifically as he'll have scored a hat trick in the game prior :bbpd:
