Certainly not the biggest problem, and he was isolated but his hold up play is atrocious to non existent. He had to do better than that, the ball just kept coming back constantly. Kenny Miller at 37 or whatever showed him up in that respect.

He had nobody near him all match. Miller did. That's the big difference. If you support the man up top, the hold up play isn't really highlighted.

Did him no favours whatsoever today.

he just has a right hard shift in this system. Must be frustating as *. Feel sorry for him- can't fault his effort this season at all obviously.

I agree with the system making it hard for him, etc and he has done well for us this season. I wouldn't go as far as to start saying I hate him, he's *, a *, etc because I don't and that's just daft but the system and not having anyone near you doesn't make it excusable not to be able to control a ball as a pro footballer. Some of his decision making is terrible aswell even at times where there's an easy option to bring someone into play rather than surrendering possession. I've praised him when he's done well so don't see the problem with moaning at things that he doesn't do so well.

This guy just doesn't have it to deliver at a higher level of match. Somebody compared him with Kris Boyd today....

We need a proper striker like Hooper.

He needs support beside him he was so isolated today- i dont want to sound like og1 but its baffling that stokes hasnt been played alongside him in ronnys time here- they compliment each other veru well. Griffiths is a goalscorer and stokes a shadow striker its a travesty they havent been used together.

I agree he was isolated and the players behind didn't give him much help, but good players turn bad balls into good balls and he just never done that, and honestly his touch is very very poor, there is a reason why strachan doesn't start him for Scotland in the same system we use.

I don't care about the stats. We will never be any good with Leigh Griffiths leading the line. Good in a front two, useful impact player but shouldn't be starting for us. We need better. Not to be harsh on Leigh because he always gives his all and we'd be royally * without his goals this season. However, the fact of the matter is we will never be any use with him starting every game.

You're right Slaw but some of us have been saying this for a while. He isn't the main problem in this team but he's definitely a part of it. To be Celtic's number one striker you HAVE to do more, its as simple as that. He's limited in too many areas of his game. Kenny Miller looked better than him today.

It's baffling Stokes and Griff never got more of a shot under Ronny. They'd have ripped them * apart the day had they both played.

Lennys last 6 months the two them had a great partnership.

Someone mentioned Hooper would of been better the day. No doubt his hold up play is far superior... but even he would of struggled with such ahite support Griffiths got the day.

Midfield was rotten, only improved when McGregor and Rogic were behind him

Been saying it since last season - we play without any credible support to Griffiths from the player supposed to be in the no.10 role.

and he still delivers the goods more often than not. People slating him but in truth he's been one of the very few positives this season. His form has tailed off towards the end of the season, but you would expect that given that role he plays and absolute reliance we had on him during the first half of the season.

Rate him or not, we're lucky to have him this year.

Doesn't help that Griffiths isn't inventive enough and has very basic movement though. There were a few times when Johansen and Rogic were on the ball and basically had * all in front of them because Griffiths is just standing still or peeling away out wide. He can't mix his game up.

People like Charlie Mulgrew were launching long balls up to him all game. What's a small striker like Griffiths supposed to do with that and why wasn't ronny telling them to stop?

No service all day, he's hardly the one to blame.

Could have easily won it at the end with a magnificent FK, just their luck that it bounced off their keeper and went out instead of in.

His limitations were there for all to see today and we need a better centre-forward but it's difficult to slate him too much, he's carried us all season and * knows if we'd be top without him.

He does remind me a little of Commons' 30+ goal scoring season. A lot of very shoddy football being papered over by the goal scoring record. He's such a selfish and frustrating player. Been poor for months now.
