No-one is asking for European class, I think most sane Celtic fans acknowledge that is a pipe dream.

We can do better than Griffiths as our lead striker though, that is the point. Just going along with it and not trying to aim for better just because he is proven in Scotland isn't the right attitude.

I dont think Griffiths is prolific enough to get us goals week in week out in the league . Will chip in with a few goals here and there but we need a striker like hooper who hits braces regularly and rattles in 30 goals a season .

Griffiths and how we rate him as a player has got nothing to do with tonight's loss ffs :smiley-laughing002:

He's been playing poor-average most of the season. You can see clearly he is limited.

The point im making is if we are looking to replace a striker at the club it should not be griff just now.
We are going to need his goals in this league year in year out.

IF we find two good replacements for JG and scep then sure look to get better than griff.

Bu right now out of the three he is the one i would be keeping.

This ! Plenty of posters on here have been saying it for months - he gives the ball away far too often and has a poor touch and predictable movement . He was getting wildly over hyped after he scored a couple of goals ( which i said at the time) . He is a grafter and pops up now and then with a goal but we can do so much better.

I don't want Griffiths punted but I also can't see him as a mainstay in this Celtic side upfront for years and years to come, as I have said.

I still think Guidetti would come good again as well but it's whether he has the right attitude or not that is the problem.

We should be going all out to try and convince Hooper back up the road, for me.

JG is so busy tarting himself all over europe than his form is in the * and im 99% sure he will be gone the second the window opens.

As for hooper, well he is to busy pilling up england caps to come back here, really cant see it happening but it would be great.

Its funny guidetti needs every thing griffiths has and leigh could do with some of John's attributes. Theyd be a great striker as one.

I don't think Hooper is too unrealistic a shout.

That's pretty much exactly it. I've said it before.. If Guidetti had Griffiths' commitment to the cause, he'd be * unstoppable.

As for Hooper, we should do our absolute utmost to bring him back. Hopefully Norwich don't go up.

hooper would easily be our best striker if we brought him back. and he works harder than forrest and guidetti are right now.

Hooper would take the * up here (again) under the Ronny regime, ludicrous to think otherwise and who's to say Ronny wouldn't get him fit and pressing like the rest?

Griffiths has done great and worked his * off but many of us knew he wasn't the main man, in the long run. Ronny will be going all out for a striker (or two) in the summer..

Squandered a good chance with a poor touch. Wasn't his night, or our night at all.

Hooper lost interest and wanted his move down south, his work rate deteriorated each season.
