Thought he spoke well at he press conference so fair play to him. Obviously needs to be given a chance like any other signing.

Soooo go luck to him and I hope he proves the doubters ( I'm one of them) wrong.

I agree he will score in SPFL but doubt he's the guy to get us into the CL group stages.

    Anyway only time will tell.

He also had a lot more room to work in with Hibs, as they weren't playing teams with ten men behind the ball.

He does look he has a knack for being in the right place at the right time though, so that's encouraging.

This is a great signing, he'll tear the SPFL up again. Imagine the amount of goals we're goni get with a striker that can actually find the net. Who cares if he's an ugly * as long as scores.

I am disappointed by your lack of support for Celtic's new signing Leigh Griffiths. He is now a Celtic player and as a Celtic fan (allegedly) you should support him. However your opinion is your own, as disappointed as I am by your lack of support for Leigh. Perhaps you will change your opinion when Leigh starts banging in the goals, here's hoping......

Guy deserves a chance. I think he'll be a very good signing. He's clinical.

Just watched a YouTube clip of his 29 goals in season 12/13 or summit and whilst there are a few belters there were a lot of penalties and more worrying not one headed goal.

Good luck to the lad. I'm sure he will score a few goals. But I have to say he's going to be ripped up for * paper in the champions leauge and I have no idea whatsoever why anybody at celtic has come up with the idea of signing him. We don't need a striker to win the league. If you look at McDonald and Hooper - both, although short, are very strong, heavy and with a low centre of gravity. Not easy to knock off the ball. Griffiths - May well be a good finisher at domestic level but will simply bounce off CL class defenders. He will be lucky to touch the ball at that level. I remember when we signed Pukki I suggested that he might spend a lot of time on the bench - as he did at his previous club - but a few guys said that he was second fiddle to Hunterlar (excuse spelling) and would bang them in in the SPL. He is also slight and small and can't even muscle it in the SPL. For celtic - to buy another striker of similar quality is just throwing cash in the bin. No disrespect to Griffiths - I am sure he's quite a pleasant wee chav - but the only striker that celtic should spend money on is one that looks like could muscle a CL defence.

We don't play teams with ten men behind the ball? :smiley-laughing002:

Are you just being contrary for the sake of it now? Because you are making yourself look a bit stupid with that one.

It's a complete and utter myth that SPL teams come and play ultra defensively against Celtic. Most teams come and have a go at us.
