I think the only player Lenny has been genuinely disappointed with is Pukki, I have a feeling he expected him to hit the ground running straight away but it just hasn't worked out so far.
Lenny is sure Balde will be a hit for us. “We know what we’ve got with Amido. He knows and we know that he’s here for the long haul. As the season progresses we will see more of Amido.''
And of course if Watt carries on banging them in for Lierse then he will be like a new player for us.

The future will look very bright in the summer imo.

I hope you're right, Watt is doing great, And as we already no Amido is looking like a great player already.. His strength is unbelievable and his eye for creativity is something to smile about to!

Agreed, but then what was the point in signing Fridjonsson at all? And I still think that Balde needs matches more than individual training sessions. The game simply won't slow down for him until he logs minutes. And I think any thinking that Pukki would hit the ground running was wishful. He had only ever played as the striker in a front three (or five for Finland) and was used to the quick movement and passing in Germany and Scandinavia. Asking him to adapt to a 4-4-2 against sides that bunker against us was always going to be a fight, but one I think he can overcome. And then, the most depressed I've been was seeing the incredible runs he was making quickly against Milan, only not to see anybody reward him.

If you notice, it was around that time (when he had already scored a goal and had the benefit of the doubt) that his body language started looking really negative. We've incorporated him woefully and developed him woefully. If we don't want to play that style then fine, but why bring him in? It seems so simple, and I know that I obviously don't know as much as our coaches, but it's something that I saw from the time he signed. I knew that we had to switch to a 4-2-3-1 to properly take advantage and it's been infuriating to see him * in the wind with his runs and seeing our side not play that style. It's not a knock against Commons or the support behind him, I'm not saying that he's too intelligent for them, but to sign a player and then play him in a system in which he's not familiar and just to hope that it clicks is idiotic. We've been so horrible in our striker play, development, and signings (with the sole exception of Hooper) that it's become something that is severely holding us back and limiting what we can do in Europe.

Getting back to Griffiths, I see this as nothing more than a cynical attempt to keep the unbeaten run going. I see it taking away from Fridjonsson and Balde and I see it as a further complication for Watt's development when he gets back.

All the best to the lad, hopefully he can hit the ground running, bang in a few early goals and go on to bring us even more success. :celt_2:

A guy who never forgets where hes from demands my respect. A guy who scores a load of goals for Celtic demands a greater deal of respect from me. Just sayin.

listen troops, I don't care if he's an ugly bastart, his 5 waynes tae 5 different burds, has a wee tint of ignorance/racism in him but nothing Lenny can't handle. N lets be honest, we've all said something out of order or shagged about etc only difference is we dont have the media on our tails. Imagine some of us on here were known celebrities. We'd get hounded for some of the * we talk in here haha

anyway, just saw this video of all his goals fae last season. I have to say its got me quite exited. He's scored some * belters.

Is he definitely in the squad for tomorrow?

Hope he starts, think he'll hit the ground running.

Noted. Is that the same video that you dissed up only a few days ago?
Or at least was concerned that all the strikes seemed to go right down the middle:)

Sorry man. It's just been a * 'mare on here trying to get people to look at things purely on the goals.

With Griffiths playing alongside him you'll more than likely see Stokesy's goal tally rocket.

He's a good player and in my opinion a definite upgrade on anything we have at the moment goal scoring wise, so I'm quietly quite excited about what he can bring to the team.

Obviously it's his off the pitch stuff that might be of concern, but let's just hope he's maturing and that Lenny can sort him out. After all Stokesy was a bit of a problem child at times as well after he joined us and Lenny has managed to keep him in check.

See when they do that do they not take hairs our your own head and replace them in other areas? pretty sure thats what I read they done to Rooney so you've not really got more hair they just spread it out to make it look like you have. Griffiths is half baldy how will it work? or can you use the hair of dead people or something :97:

He should wear a wig, you can get quality ones that look real, could ask this guy

He scored 28 goals in a pish hibs team, so hopefully with better service he can achieve similar with us. Think he'll score no bother.

No doubt better than Pukki and Balde so I'm happy with this
