I think you have to take a look back at what I was responding to. It was a confusion with Vert and Celtic Jorge after Celtic Jorge said he was asian (which he is) then Vert argued he was Scottish (which he is) and I just said he was both so why are yous arguing ? I never even refered to the Leigh Griffiths tweet (which I think was unacceptable).

 

Agreed. It was a dumb thing that he apologized for and there's not a history of that sort of thing from him. Trying to justify it or trying to turn it into something to bury him under are both counterproductive I think.

That is what I think it was as well. I wouldn't dismiss it as banter like Zaq Iqbal did though. Leigh is lucky he was so sound about it.

 

Fair enough, but I don't think Vert was arguing that he wasn't Asian. Just that he's both and it's kind of ridiculous that CJ glossed over the fact that Asia wasn't his home. If that wasn't your intention, then fair enough. Just seemed like you were defending it, but it appears not. No harm no foul if that's alright with you. I hope you could at least see why I could make the mistake though.

As long as he knows he was out of order and does well for Celtic ill support him.

My problem is with people who are justifying it and with the board signing the cheap option again.

Happy to turn it back to the football, but my concern isn't that he's the cheap option. It's that it's the continuation of a broken striker policy. I'm starting to think that we just got lucky with Hooper. I pray he comes good and I'll support him... but if he does, then what? We've got Watt who'll come good I think and Commons is playing Forward. That leaves Atajic, Fridj, Pukki, Balde, and Stokes. Maybe they're just going for the cast a wide net policy.

The last few Griffiths threads you have made disparaging comments towards Anthony Stokes. So having a go at people slagging Celtic players when you are doing the same thing is hypocritical.

Agreed. Mulgrew's standard has dropped dramatically with them. Hasn't scored one for ages and barely takes them now. Used to be a bit of an expert with them as well!
