Depends how much he plays, I don't really want him in the first team. I wouldn't say he's better than Stokes, and I want to see Pukki and Balde given more chances.

    :56::50:

Well now I just feel bad slegging him so much. MAKING ME FEEL BAD ALREADY GRIFFITHS, GET TO * :47:

    How so?

We've signed a promising young Finnish striker, signed a goalscorer with a good pedigree, and secured the signing of the Norwegian player of the year.....so far.

We've also (touch hairy wood) managed to keep a hold of Forster and van Dijk.

So far Ledley is still a Celtic player, but then again, so is Samaras :54:

I hope he proves me wrong too mate, I really do.

I've honestly never felt like this for a Celtic signing before, usually I'm the first to be championing them but this just leaves a bitter taste, especially as we all knew what we needed from watching this seasons CL campaign.

Any chance he could play on the left of a 4-2-3-1 and that we are still looking for that elusive strong, mobile main striker?

    I live in hope...

Must be a dream move for him. He'll appreciate just how big the club is and I don't imagine he'll have any qualms about playing in the Scottish Premiership, which is a bonus. Hopefully see him playing alongside Watt next season at club & international level.

If Pukki and Balde were the players we hoped they were then we wouldn't be signing Griffiths.

He will be a first team player. Him and Stokes up front with Stokes just playing behind him could be a great partnership in the SPFL.

My negativity isn't towards Leigh but Celtic. Fair play to Griffiths he's probably over the moon and well done to him, I'm sure he will score goals. If he performs in the Champions League, I'll praise Lenny and Celtic, until then I'm pretty disappointed. Anyway good luck Leigh!

I doubt we will see Watt playing for Scotland anytime soon.

I think the reaction came mostly from disappointment, having been linked with some of the top goalscorers in the Eredivisie. His off field issues were a worry but he has a clean slate now. I doubt we'd have been so * off if he'd signed when we had Hooper at the club. Just unfortunate timing.

Pukki's improved massively since January, his performances have been good pretty much every time he's played. No way should we just bench him and halt that progress now.

If he jumps into the squad right away, no reason why he can't score well over 10 goals.

    I truly believe that.

Somebody posted the quote about only judging players on the pitch and nothing else. I don't think that's ever going to happen, nor should it. Not calling Leigh Griffiths a rapist :smiley-laughing002: just one letter difference though :86:

You don't think he'll score? I mean, he might be a wee *, but he DOES score goals.

He'll come good, man. I'm sure of it.

That's what I was thinking. We're still in the Cup as well so no reason he can't if he holds down a first team place.

Pace, goals and a good work ethic for the team.

All-in-all a cracking piece of business.

    I agree completely.

Still lots of domestic games to be played ... and, of course the Scottish Cup.

    It could happen.
