He was not "surplus to requirement".

Molineux boss Kenny Jacket said: "We've had a bid from Celtic but it has been rejected.
"We don't know how things will develop.
"We do understand every player has their price but we are not desperate to sell players here.
"Leigh has gone public to say he is interested in the Celtic situation as most Scottish lads would be when a club of that size come in.
"But the deal would have to be right for us and we will have to see how it goes.
"If not Leigh is still part of our squad and is with us for Oldham tomorrow and Bradford on Saturday."

Without doubt, but only after he was found guilty.

Same if it was Lee Hughes, or that * Plymouth goalie who killed the two wee kids speeding/drunk in his car.

Griffiths is by no means in any danger of being classified anywhere near this level though.

Seriously underwhelmed, no better than what we have, loads of off field issues and just a serious lack of ambition shown, once again, by the board.

Happy to eat humble pie if he comes good but I doubt it.

Hopefully he proves himself in the Champions League, that's where we really need goals. Still not ecstatic, but I'll give the guy a chance. He's now a Celtic player after all.

Good signing, proven goalscorer, think he'll score a bundle for us. If he gets game time, could well end up kicking his heels next to AFB!

Seeing this picture of him made me feel sorry for him. I now feel bad for calling him a thumb etc.

Best of luck to him here, hope he doesn't have to read some of the terrible things people have said about it on here and elsewhere. Show us what you can do on the park.

Not exactly the signing I was hopping for but will give him my full support assuming the move goes through.

Hope we are paying him enough that he doesn't need to nick from tessco....

He is though - especially when you take into account the scoring track-record of the strikers we have.

Lack of ambition? I don't know - how do we know that the club genuinely haven't been pursuing more "ambitious" signings, only to be knocked back?

Personally, I'm happy with this signing. I can understand the doubt by some, but I hope he proves you all wrong (not saying that in a smart-*-told-ye-so way) :50:

Needs to be given the chance, especially by the supporters. Proven goalscorer at SPL level which is our bread and butter. No-one can say he won't score at champions league level because he's never had the chance. II'd have never thought Scott McDonald would have and he proved us all wrong.

Welcome to Paradise Griffo. If by any chance you're reading this thread, go and prove these guys wrong!

If he gets a goal or two on Sunday, we'll probably all change our minds on him. I've kind of come round to being indifferent about it. We're not going to see anyone with European pedigree come in any time soon so we may as well give him a shot now he's here.

Me too haha. Still think what he did in the past was very cuntish, but I suppose I'll give him a chance to change. Don't want him in the first team, but when he plays I won't pre-judge his performance as *. At least he's getting a hair transplant, going bald at his age is ridiculous :smiley-laughing002:

Not happy in the slightest with this. Extremely disappointing transfer window which could come back to bite lawell in the *. Lacklustre to say the least.

That being said. Griffiths is now a celtic player. We are a family, we look after our own. Lets give him the benefit of the doubt and hopefully our faith will be rewarded.

But... Lennon better keep this fella on a tight leesh or it could cost him his job.

What would be a good return for him domestically this season? Double figures?
