To have not conceded a goal in eleven games and to set a new record is a fantastic achievement. I thought Stefan johansen was very impressive on his first start as well.

It was advice you could do with following as you clearly dont know too much about football. As for not criticising Celtic, the first line of the post you're referring to should have given you a clue.

You are spot on, people on here get far too sensitive and defensive on their favorite players. Refusing to critise yet will be thr first to praise. If anyone had been so greedy hen they absolutely deserve to be slated. Just because others have a difference of opinion then they must not have a clue about football and arent real Celtic fans..

Having said that, it can be a very negative place at times.

 

Stokes is just an average player who would be useful to have as a squad player. It's not his fault though that the manager, who let's not forget previosuly never trusted him in big games, has made him our number one striker. Caught the bit at the end - strikers are greedy and want goals but that was beyond belief. So bad I was laughing!

Bided his time to play in the big games and massively underperformed. I used to think Hooper needed Stokes. Now I realise it was the other way around.

He's had plenty opportunity. I reckon that will be his last start for a while, barring injuries. He's made it easier for Griffiths to get in the team.

 

Good to get the win and clean sheet. Need to b better for aberdeen though

And still people are * pathetic yes 1-0 but we have been high scoring the last fee games I didn't see the game so I can't really comment on performance etc but get a grip a player missed a chance in he is *!

Sometimes your like maybe they are joking but I could gaurentee most are not!

He hasn't though. Aye some of the criticism is deserved, this season hasn't been the best for him. I think he deserves a spell on the bench, but people go over the top in their criticism.

I agree we need a higher level of player but we're simply not going to get one. The last couple of transfer windows have proven that. It doesn't change the fact though that he has done well for us overall.

 

The two that say that were slagging Balde off earlier in the thread and one of them has slagged Griffiths off repeatedly. Two hypocrites.

 

I thought Stokes linked up well from what I seen, I think he was * off with Commons shooting anytime he's within 30 yards, so he got a little greedy himself. He contributes alot more than goals, he is our most creative forward IMO, aslong as we're winning I couldn't give a * who scores! cheer up you miserable *!

 

It's fans like yourself who would've most likely boo'd at the end had St Mirren scored. Celtic have just made history and not a word of mentioning from you just constant moaning about Stokes.

Yeah look at the man in your top left hand corner and then we will talk about "Massively Underperformed" - No other celtic player can you say what kinda game you will get out of him today in the 1st five mins the way you do with Samaras ?

 

The team, as a whole have been playing well recently but from a scoring point of view we have been way over reliant on Comons who isn't even a striker. I shudder to think how the league table would look right now had Commons not took the goalscoring responsibilities.

At the moment we don't need a world class striker that will score goals out of nothing (though that would be nice). We just need someone that will finish off moves. Stokes squandered so many opportunities today and has done for months now.

I'm afraid it's time to give Balde or Griffiths the chance to see if they can do better. Which I think they can.

 

Yeah I expect 10-0 every game and at least a hat trick from Fraser foster

 

I know what you mean, but who cares what they say? Stokes was * and he has apologists. Those same people criticise other players as the Griffiths threads proved. Let hypocrites be what they are.

Personally, I don't think Stokes is good enough and I really never have. Each passing season proves it.
