Really I thought Charlie Mulgrew was the scapegoat for this!!

Lot more variables than Maribor away game!!

It's not just about assists, He can create a chance for someone to slip the ball to someone else and we score. That happens a lot more than he assists to be honest.

I'm with you on Kayal or Bitton getting game time, Kayal has been good in every game he's played.

:97::56: No need to be an * mate, it's not my fault that you're wrong.

It's a laugh that you think you've back yours up with quotes. Were your quotes from Deila saying "yes I play Stefan because I owe him big time and he says he will fall out with me if he doesn't start every week"?

You've made a massive leap from those quotes to what you are suggesting, so they aren't any sort of evidence which you seem to think they are. I could pull random quotes about anything then make up a story.

Mulgrew is and was dire as well although was unfortunate with his header that got cleared off the line. Johansen somehow became a defender for Maribor that night though and in doing so cost us the tie because we would have had 2 away goals if it wasn't for him.

We still should have beaten them in the second leg. You can't put that all at Johansen's feet.

Oh that's right how did Johansen perform that night, did he try and redeem himself? He was absolutely horrific and gave away possession near enough every pass he made.

Can't blame him for the Legia debacle tho.. To blame Johansen solely for our CL failures is very harsh! His form is a worry but has shown enough last season to not give up on!

I'm not blaming him for Legia, that was Mukgrew's doing.

I am however putting most blame on Johansen for our failure to qualify for CL Group Stage football, as his clearance off the line to prevent us from scoring a second away goal in the end cost us CL football and in doing so put a big black mark down on Ronny's CV.

Harsh to blame one man for a teams failings over two legs...you could say Virgil's sitter in the last minute cost us CL football too, Johansen was unlucky just one of those things...

First of all it wasn't a sitter by any stretch and secondly even if he had converted it would only have taken us to extra time anyway. If Johansen hadn't blocked Virgils goal bound header off the line with his stupidity even getting beat 1-0 at Celtic Park wouldn't have mattered and we would have still went through.

Also it was Virgil who had scored a perfectly good goal only for your man Johansen to block it off the line the pillock that he is and then to make matters even worse then jokes about it on his twitter, I mean seriously, you're sticking up for a guy like that and more fool Ronny also for joking about it as well?

I'll always stick up for Celtic players... I've said before his form is a worry, but not giving up on him.. dont have a problem with Ronny having a sense of humour around it because it was just an unlucky incident..

An unlucky incident which has cost us millions of pounds in revenue and CL Group Stage football. I'm glad you can see the funny side in their views on it. I don't.

Stefans not the problem,he was decent last year,as was our defense.

We replaced goalkeepers like for like so thats not the problem ether.

Its Rons tactics this year thats the problem.

We have been playing with 7 attacking players most games..which leaves us wayfully short at the back even against the shitiest teams.

Also i think VvD and Denayer arent fast enough to be left as the only 2 Celtic players in the Celtic half.

I also dont like the way VVD and Effe are allowed to move all the way up the pitch ..if they lose the ball once we get hit on the counter ..

    Defenders should defend .

We were firm favourites in the tie at that point, one of those incidents that are comical so you can only laugh...

Without reliving the whole Maribor thread.. There was more to be angry about in the second leg.. Our failure to beat a very average side at CP is the black mark you speak about...

Actually if I recall correctly he had the highest pass completion rate of anyone in the team. He wasn't very good, but neither was anyone.

Yep great example. We should have been stronger, but we weren't and that isn't purely Johansen's fault.
