I thought I'd start a thread on this boy since he became the youngest ever player to play a first team game for Celtic tonight at 16 years and 2 days old. Calvin was also recently reported as being the best player in the world at his age group and he also was Scotland's best player in their first victory shield win in 10 years. Do we have a future star here?

Very exciting player and better in prospect than any other in the last few years.

Ensuring he is developed properly is however critical as we have seen other players sensational at a similar age like Dylan McGeouch, Michael McGlinchey and, although he is still young, Lewis Kidd stall slightly in their development.

Miller is however a bigger talent than all of them and if anyone is unfamiliar with him, here's a nice interview with his da'.

Probably the most exciting prospect, young young wise, since Islam Feruz. Seen him a few times playing for Scotland in the Victory Shield and he impressed me a lot. A pacy winger who has a terrific work ethic and work rate as well as a good left foot and ability. He has the potential to be fantastic.

He certainly has the tools to go to the very top.

Couple of important years coming up for him, he's got to be patient and keep his feet on the ground.

It will certainly be very interesting to see how he comes along over the next few seasons. This past week in Turkey I imagine was great experience for him.

He was away with the 17s this week so must have been a nice surprise for him to get called into the first team squad. Excellent player.

That was a charity game and not for an actual Celtic team, where Tommy Johnson and old fat * not in his team :smiley-laughing002: think Danny McGrain even played in that.

It's amazing. Unlike most scottohs players he can bring down a ball and it doesn't go five yards in front of him.

Seriously though. Looks a talent and hopefully he can get a chance.

The old saying...good enough - old enough.

The likes of Rooney got games at 16. Time for Celtic to give young guys a chance and no five mins in a friendly

Sounds backwards but I think the only chance of the young players getting a game is if we actually lose a SPL game.

Lennon seems that terrified of messing up his unbeaten season by introducing an untried player.

Bit of an Arjen Robben look about his style. Wouldn't mind a player half as good.
