i wouldent mind giving miller a run of games, * he could not be any worse than magic the now. But i have a bad feeling tha GS is going to stick with magic against falkirk

I know it sounds rediculous but Miller has the speed to take a ball over the top and also to go to the corners and get the ball in. Neither McGeady, Naka and certainly not Hartley seem to want to do this. Part of the problem is that WGS plays McGeady on the left and naka on the right, if the reason for this is so the can cut in and shoot on their stronger foot then it is clearly not working as neither score many from open play.

    JVoH and ...... Zurawski!!

I think Zurawski can get his 'magic' back. I mean one of the chances against hibs he was reasonably unlucky not to get a goal, he pretty much done everything right it just took a great save from the goalkeeper to deny him. Give him a good run of games and I think the confidence, sharpness and goals will come back.

Failing that I'd like to see Riordan given a few games as he has proven in his limited appearences that he can make things happen, clearly its not like that behind closed doors though.

Mind you I do think McDonald and Killen are good players, it's just Strachan went and signed too many strikers :54: so how all of them can get a good run of games under their belts I do not know.

Trouble is there are now too many strikers at the club and WGS doesn't seem to know his top 2. Has to stick with JVoH and Magic or there confidence will be more shot that it already is...

jvoh and mcdonald are my 1st choice and I think they are WGS's too. Next game with mcdonald still out I would play kenny. Magic is nothing when he is not scoring whereas miller does a lot of good work and has a great assists record. He would lift the team and he played well in pre-season.

For me I would go with VOH and Riordan next weekend against Falkirk. McDonald is suspended so he isn't an option.

I'd take JVOH out the back and put a bullet in his kneecap so that he can't embarass himself again! as for Magic ha! I wouldn't even waste a bullet! I'd just beat him to death for the extra pleasure!

Young Scottish tallent should always be put first, and dont give me that they are not good enough, because Riordan could score more than 11 goals with his eyes closed !IF! he got the amount of minutes that big useless dutch numpty got last year! You want proof!? Look at Riordans record with Hibs! If he done that with Hibs , then just imagine what he could do with the hoops! I still say that WGS is not telling us the real story!:47: Why wouldn't you play your best finisher, who is fitter, faster and whos workrate is second only to Miller!:31:

So theres my choice and reason!

Thats why the Scotland team cannae reach a major finals.
You pro Scottish players is welcome but dont try to convince me that is the answer. The problem seems to me to be with Strachans motivational skills. The full squad look un interested and lack any bite. If thats not down to Stachan then its down to the individuals, but since it seems like the full squad then Strach looks the culprit.:38:

After seeing pre-season and the first game of the season, and taking into account the last couple of months of last season, my first choice strike partnership would be...

Derek Riordan (FFS Gordon, will ye play the wee fella!) and Scott McDonald.

Reason being, Zurawski has had ample opportunity to prove himself, and JVOH needs to be shown that if he is not trying then he is benched.

Also, a bit off topic, but is there anyone on the planet who knows one good reason why Hartley is commanding a starting role?

C'mon tae *....midfield should not include Hartley.

    Get it sorted Gordon!

Changed days indeed. We're on here now debating who should partner VOH....... Kenny Miller, Chris Killen, Derek Riordan, Scott McDonald, Magic Zurawski.

There's not a pairing among that lot that are anywhere near the class of Sutton, Hartson, Larsson.

I put a thread about our strikers on approx. 4 months ago and some people said as long as we're scoring from other parts of the team it won't be a problem. Wonder if they have the same opinion now.

Miller and JVOH would be 1st choice imo. Both need a run out min the team to get them going.
