Only problem is the amount of money needed to actually buy the club,I voted yes.

You don't think, with our worldwide support, that we have enough fans to group together and buy the club?

An absolute must. Something that needs enacted as soon as possible.

Sounds like it would be to expensive for fans to buy, but i dont think so. We have such a massive fanbase and everyone isnt really skint :50: Just look at Rod Stewart, he could buy the club on his own :56: might be to optimistic, but anyways :50:

The real issue would be that, no matter how much money one person puts in, they would still have one vote, the same as a guy who put in the bare minimum.

Personally I don't see any other way around the issues some fans have with those who run the club. As things stand we can all * & moan, but as long as one majority shareholder likes what Lawwell and the current board are doing, they'll remain in place.

Then nothing changes. The club remains in the control of one man essentially, and if he disagrees with the fans, then tough *.

Fan ownership, could only come about if all the CSC throughout the world all clubbed together and crowd fund raised the £60 odd million that the club is currently valued at on the stock exchange.
Then you need to convince the investors to sell. They won't.
You would need to convince all the fans that there is some deep rooted corporate mal practice or Mismanagement, which there isn't.
It basically just boils down to a vocal minority taking umbrage by the fact the club are following uefa and Scottish government rules and laws, and not pandering to their wishes.
One obvious solution to this stand off, is to follow the lead of a sporting friends in Manchester, could we be about to witness the birth of FC Celtic of Glasgow, the local rivals we have been crying out for?

    No.

I don't even wish to be in the same stand as some Celtic supporters these days, nevermind be a part of ownership with them.

Fan ownership would just divide fans further I think. Big groups of people generally dont get on with each other and splits occur. Would end up a Sevco situation with petty slagging of various Groups who all want different stuff.

    No.

In my opinion we need a majority owner who is sensitive enough to our fans culture but impartial enough that he drives this club forward financially and in football most of all.

Right now our board just isn't the right group for this job I think.

    No.

Complete civil unrest in the stands and internet would ensue.

I would just love to know where the current board think this antagonising of fans is going to lead us.

The fines we have received are a joke in comparison to what other clubs have got,but our board is not contesting it.

This is not the Celtic board we need,it is quite sad.

You really are stating the obvious there, but the truth is we aren't going to get that majority owner who carries those qualities.

It should be plain to all who follow the club that the current path is exactly the path that the majority shareholder wants us to go down. He has obviously given the board the green light to act in the manner that they have.

In fact, when people accuse Lennon on simply being Lawwell's puppet, they should probably consider Lawwell to be Desmond's puppet. If he didn't like the way things were going he could change them.

He isn't though, so we won't see change. Celtic is controlled by one man, and that man makes all of the choices.

Fair enough. The very nature of leadership is you can't please all of the people all of the time.

If our fans are desperate enough to get rid of the people in control of the club then there are always ways and means of making it happen. That was proved in the 90's.

I think if Celtic are owned by the fans then we should follow Barcelona's lead in that sense. One of the reasons why Barcelona are so successful is because they have a club which is owned by the fans. The fans are united and they have certain targets. The reason why our fans are not united is because of the boards' sheer incompetence. Also most of the fans agree on certain things that would move the club forward.
