    Back on Topic, as ive said from the start and this is coming from someone from Ireland, Celtic are a Scottish Club who are proud of their strong Irish Roots, Imo!

    I'm Scottish and Proud of it but I don't have a problem with flying the tri-colour at CP. It doesn't mean I show my allegience to Ireland its just that it looks better with the green and white of Celtic, whereas the Saltire clashes with it, plus its the colour o' that mob. No other reasons. I do sometimes where a Rampant Lion draped across my shooders though.

    I feel that are club is a Scottish club, but with the irish connection setting it up in scotland people think of it as irish.
    Celtic are proud of the irish history and heritage but are scottish

    what I think bigots dont understand is if you are say Scottish but also have a bit of something else in your background like Irish or Italian or whatever, that adds something to you, it does not subtract anything or make you less Scottish or something. It gives you another string to your bow and makes you a little more understandng of other cultures. I think thats the best way of looking at it.

    Hope that was said in jest?

    The Saltire has been our flag since the 8 or 9th century when King of the Picts Oengus MacDommall seen the clouds form a saltire in the sky. Right then he knew St Andrew was lOOking down on him. Then we went on and kicked the Northumbrians arses. I believe we were outnumbered 3-1.
