    1. Many Rangers fans have become Celtic greats
    2. Whittaker cost 2 million, brown cost 4.5 million or whatever - its the lower end of the going rate for a good Scottish player. You wouldnt get a ball boy for that in England.
    3. Dont think we can really afford experienced CL players
4 and 5. We are very short of wingers. Only Aidan unquesionably falls into that category and he has played 2 great games after 6 months of mince so we dont know what will happen with his form. Deeks is much better infield upfront. Even Naka is not a natural wide player. Naismith is also a striker who scored loads for a crap club last season and covers 2 positions.

I think Naismith will be a good player. He is not the finished article but I think he will be very good with one more season under his belt.

why do people think we should play Riordan upfront ? What about Jvoh and Mcdonald who are both better strikers.

Riordan can also push mcgeady for his place.

TBH i would welcome Naismith at Celtic , he looks exciting and plays wide as well as central ..If Jarosik goes as has been reported to Bolton then maybe he will be his replacement ...time will tell and lest see what happens :celt_2:

Given last season when Riordan was coming off the bench and scoring goals (not to mention the top goal scorer for hibs 3 seasons running) we were screaming for better performances and this lad was scoring.

That's why we would like to see him get more of a chance up front.

As for Naismith :green: other than that i don't see what he can bring to the club given the players we already have, and like the aforementioned Riordan would he get his chance (given he's an already proven player in the spl).

In my opinion well...i'll not shed any tears if he goes elsewhere :celt_2:

Does WGS not realise that someone has to score goals for the diddy teams of the SPL ie, Riorden,Killen,Macdonald and now Naismiith for * sake even craig dargo scores goals for caley maybe we might buy him aswell. lol.

Honestly why is he buying 4 non proven forwards who have no experience at a higher level surely he should be spending his budget better On Defenders an instead of waisting fortunes on 4 semi diddies buy a proven striker not rocket science, even for the we ginger.

I don't see the point in this deal at all. We do not need any more strikers. Naismith is overrated as well. He's nowhere near as good as his inflated £2m price tag.

He is worth £2m, perhaps more. His goals for games ratio would suggest that and his overall play. Not to mention to capped at international level. £2m in my opinion is a good deal, given his age especially

He's a good player, I'll question the price tag like I questioned Scott Brown's. Hard to see where he'll fit in. GS probably knows something we all dont.

Boruc, Naylor, Nakamura, Wilson, McManus (maybe?) only became UCL experienced players under GS. They didnt do too badly as I recall.

Afraid so, as much as it isn't GS's job to single handedly save Scottish football I'd rather see him go down South or spend another season at Killie before coming. I cant see what impact he would make for us this season, rather the money was spent elsewhere.

I cant belive some of the bullshit thats been quoted " worrying about the waste of scottish talent" get a F**ing grip,

Im sure the same worry was when we sold Craig Beatty and co for a profit, some of you need to try and put your head into business senario, long term, ( that is not 4 weeks)

If we get him, then we are the the only winners,,, I dont get get the negativaty

What ive heard is the reason celtic arent meeting valuation of 2 million for Naismith is because Maloney might be coming if villa let him go for 1 million, if not theyl sign Naismith
