I agree with pretty much what Lenny says. It's the timing of it and regardless of the message it brings a bit of a negative vibe to the game.

If people want to identify with that, it's just really entertainment.

I don't see how the banner is really all that offensive, in fact it's not offensive, just a bit confusing.

The problem is, when the law is introduced, we're stuck with it. Look at the banner at Ajax away, that's an offensive banner. It's offensive to the opposing supporters and team. That's trying to be bigoted, whereas the GB's banner isn't offensive to any fans, certainly not Milan fans.

But laws go across the board, we complain about the Ajax banner, Ajax complain about ours and even though they are different messages, they are both gonna get treated the same way.

It's just an example of how the law screw people over. If they are gonna do this it needs to go to every club and every club and every country, but they won't do that. They'll have a list of clubs and they'll be made scapegoats.

Especially in the Champions' League when they don't want to * off sponsors, which is probably what this whole thing is really all about.

I can't remember starting to support Celtic. Obviously I know about the roots of the club and the reasons it was set up. It is different times now though. You can admit yourself how business orientated football has become. There isn't any room for political expression in football anymore. All it does is bring trouble to clubs door.

You've hit the nail on the head here. I feel completely alienated from the club.

    * *. Hard work catching up and reading through the whole thing.

Really surprised by some of the opinions put forward in here I must say. From what I can see our whole identity as Celtic is drowning and a lot of fans are happy to sit back and watch it happen.

Aye but if it's only about football for you and purely football that's what it would be. You support Celtic for other reasons unless you were a youngster during the Lions time.

That's the only culture being attacked here. Used to it for the past 140 years, now its from the club. At least in 50s with the Kellys they defend us.
