It is his "opinion" as manager of the club rather than his personal opinion would be my take on it. Akin to maybe being respectful when talking about another team and talking up their abilities.

I would imagine that he was speaking for himself, only last week he was standing up for the fans who were in Amsterdam and nobody questioned if that was his honest opinion.

That is all that really matters? Their are far more important things that 'really matter' than that.

I never said change culture. I'm talking attitude.

Most immigrants (myself included) don't have problems integrating into a New society at no cost to our culture. Most 'indigenous' people don't have a problem with immigrants.

Lennon's comments today in general are baffling.

We're multicultural, so none of that irish pish.

    Have 'fun'

You must have known what you were getting into when you started supporting the club, that's what makes me * laugh.

all these people shocked at what Celtic is, * sake, were you dropped into Paradise from outer * space?

"Celtic Football and Athletic Club, patrons his grace the Archbishop of Glasgow and the clergy of St Mary’s, Sacred Heart and St Michael’s missions and the Principal Catholic laymen of the east end.

The above club was formed in November 1987 by a number of of Catholics of the east end of the city. The main object is to supply the east end conferences of the St Vincent de Paul Society with funds for the maintenance of the dinner tables of our needy children in the missions of St Mary’s, Sacred Heart and St Michael’s.

Many cases of sheer poverty are left unaided through lack of means. It is therfore with this principle object that we have set afloat the Celtic and we invite you as one of our ever ready friends to assist in putting our new park in proper working order for the coming football season. We have already several of the leading Catholic football players of the west of Scotland on our membership list.

They have most thoughtfully offered to assist in the good work. We are fully aware that the elite of football players belong to this city and suburbs and we know that from there we can select a team which will be able to do credit to the Catholics of the west of Scotland as the Hibernians have been doing in the east.

Again there is also the desire to have a large recreation ground where our Catholic young men will be able to enjoy the various sports which will build them up physically and we feel sure we will have many supporters with us in this laudable object.”

I wonder why nobody suggested that Neil should try and be less Irish, less Catholic and less Celticy when he was getting bombs in the post or did we support him, understand what he was going to and back him to the hilt?

Bear in mind, Lennon originally said he wanted fans banned re what happened in Amsterdam. That tweet had since been deleted.

Club will take any & every opportunity to attack the fans...all in the name of this mythical 'reputation'.

If you're stupid enough to think that's what he meant, no wonder you're puzzled.

"I quite like going out before the game and soaking up the atmosphere because you never know when you have that opportunity again.

"It is not guaranteed you will play Champions League every year, and my heart sank a little bit I have to say.

"I think there were a lot of other areas of the stadium where the supporters were scratching their heads and trying to understand the reasoning behind it.

"Since then we know the reasons behind it but it certainly wasn't the time or place for a display like that.

"It should have been a celebration rather than people having a grumble about something.

"When I came in here I tried to bring the club together again and I think we have done that, certainly with the performances over the last three or four years, so it is disappointing that some people want to bring cracks to the club.

"I don't know what you can do.

"It is not welcome within the stadium. We understand that they maybe have legitimate complaints over some of the laws brought in but Celtic Park is not the place to bring banners in like that.''

Our manager, Neil Lennon, a man who knows all about the troubles first hand. He speaks for me when he says this.

    This.

I see no problem with people not wanting to take part for what ever reason but to be actively against it and trying to rid it from the club is perplexing to say the least.

Yes it's perfectly fine to sing that for 90 mins solid because it was written before 1969. Come on man, play the game you know that's not what I'm talking about.

Why aren't there more songs about the Omagh bombings, Massereene Barracks shootings, Ronan Kerr's car being blown to kingdom come.

All part of the glorious revolution and part of Erin history, where better to celebrate these men of freedom than at a football stadium. I'm off, * this, too bad for the blood pressure.
