Got back last night and enjoyed every minute of the trip(except them scoring but was always likely we'd get beat). The "riot" was unexpected but a good laugh, still not sure how it even started I thought we were attacked with Ajax * lobbing hings from off the tram going through the middle of the square then started tossing stuff back before you know it polis are coming in from all angles but it seemed to last only 5-10 minutes. Barely ate or drunk non booze or junk food all week so detoxing the now with a smoothie with kale, broccoli, banana, tomato an cucumber lol
Dyin to go back already though hope we play them again next year.

Superjood and pwsst (?) stop embarrassing your club. I've been on the Dam most of the day and haven't seen any provocation from us. Not once! Even Ajax supporters, little kids, old ladies walked through thousands of us and none were bothered.

I even used an Ajax signature a couple of times on this forum, but won't be doing that again, cause I'm embarrassed how some of them hooligan scum behaved this week and at Glasgow. At once all of Ajax is been put in a bad light, all supporters are being called scum now and even worse....huns. Thanks to a scummy "part" of the support I feel less and less attached to Ajax.

    * you and * Feijenoord too! :icon_mrgreen:

For those who are in love.....
I'm 50/50 drawn into agreeing and not with this post..

First off no not every celtic fan is an angel, but by and large and more so than most clubs we have a pretty unique friendly vibe wherever we go,it's no coincidence the feedback we get..
Secondly you may or may not like it but the attraction of Amsterdam is the less desirable side of it prostitutes and readily available drugs anywhere and not just the smoking type...This is what most men go to Amsterdam for, footvall being in makes it a not to miss bonus..
And again thousands are away from home spending there hard earned saved cash to get drunk but have a good time, there's a big difference!

I've heard no one say that Ajax fans were causing celtics troubles in the square, but they definitely set the tone and the ill feeling the night before and in Glasgow..
The police just followed it up and took over from your lot..
You again are making out as if it was us that provoked the whole thing, sorry didn't realise a good atmosphere at home and drinking in someone's city centre was seen as a * take..

I agree the * * thing is nothing more than to provoke a reaction,or was that celtic fans in your end who did it? See what I did there :86:..

I have heard on more than a few occasions the undercovers mingling in with crowds over there but never attacking like that, they got brave and paid a price..
    Hopefully they learned a lesson..

    this.

if fans dont like the opposition, they'll always use provocative slurs toward them, it's just how it is in football.

it's not a nice term to use.

can think of alot worse things supporters chant at each other.

From what I saw on the TV it looked as if the plain clothed police were totally over the top, why does it take four policemen to kick one young Celtic supporter senseless before arresting him ?

I agree that some Celtic supporters may have got out of hand by picking up various objects and throwning them across the square, and yes they deserve to be arrested, but they didn't deserve to be subjected to these assults by the plain clothed Amsterdam police force, it was as if they were insighting the trouble in order to get waded in with boots and weapons on the Celtic supporters.

I have been in Amsterdam and the Netherlands hundreds of times, however this has really tarnished my view of the Dutch !!!

Typical Dutch tactics, hide in the dark and attack when you have the opposition out numbered four to one.

Some obviously know what it means. It is a term used almost exclusively by huns or NI loyalists. Ajax fans must have worked in collision with one of these groups to have come across this term. This shows a link between Ajax supporters and the huns.

State of some of these Ajax fans coming in here trying to have a dig. They're obviously proud of destroying their reputation across europe in a few weeks. You would maybe think they would want to repair that damage they have done but they are just making themselves look like the arseholes that they are. They have a long long way to go to earn their continental acclaim and admiration that us Celtic fans have. Maybe its jealousy?

Now i know that their will be alot of good Ajax fans so why don't the "hooligans" down-and-outs and arseholes from Amsterdam * off away from this forum and stop humiliating the good guys in the Ajax support.

If you want a fight im sure you can go beat up the wife or outnumber some poor innocent tourist.

    Arseholes. Rant over.

We'll never know untill it happens. I was mainly talking about the police. And there was nothing really happening before, during or after the match yet the police did arrest so much innocents.

But maybe you could ask supporters of Royal Club Antwerp and their links to Feyenoord? A group of them went to a game as 'friends' and yet this happens: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rREez-BzO6g"]Rotterdam Hooligans In Antwerp - YouTube[/ame]

Or look what happened at Nancy, no rivalry not even fanatic support and yet they did what they did. The mayority of every club are normal but it can always go off with the nutters any team have. And Feyenoord and Ajax attracts them both.

The difference is, if Celtic fans wanted to, they could rampage across Europe in unseen numbers.

I've been to the Netherlands and I have no doubt that the core of the Celtic, whether it be from Scotland or Ireland, come from much tougher places and are generally much tougher people.

But they don't, because they don't have to. People who do that are insecure arseholes, who doubt their masculinity.
