They don't offer much and they are lacking a good striker, they may be a poor team but they're better then us and try to get the ball down and play good football. I think someone like Wanyama would have been useful tonight to break up the play, but we are a selling club.

Yep. Any team will only get away with selling its better players for so long. This CL group so far has shown that we've gone backwards a bit in terms of quality. We have played well in the previous three games, certainly the first two, but being strong and organised is not going to be enough.

It seems if Sammy doesn't turn up then we are struggling and tbh we should not be relying on him. He just doesn't do it enough and its obvious that the other three teams have sussed this and target him.

Knew it would be a hard game, but no one expected us to play that badly, very comfortable night for any Ajax fan or player, I don't think they would have been worried about us scoring even once.

It's ok pal - get used to it. Ive not been on here since before the utter pish at hibs, partick & saturday there...and they say i only come on when we get beat. Heard all the pish on BBC radio scotland about Lennon's been "looked" at by other teams ???? Yeah well they can have him.. Tactically clueless.inept. plays his favourites. does he know when to sub a player and puts the captains armband on a Lazy player tonight who did not try a * leg. and as for skill ive never seen a team who cant * trap or kill a ball like we do....but what the * eh lets get Big Peter Lawwell on the plane to CHINA....* whats on the park or half arsed signings...lets care more about the Balance sheet.

Forster, Lustig, Ambrose, Van Dijk: the only players who I'd give pass marks to tonight. How many times had Forrest touched the ball before they scored? Twice? Blew our best chance of the night. Completely anonymous and he wasn't the only one. We were * horrific until they scored and not much better after it. Stokes isn't good enough to lead the line in Europe, can we just call a spade a spade now? Sorely missed Wanyama & Hooper tonight. Timing of the substitutions and the substitutions themseles left a lot to be desired again.

Going by the performances none of them looked fit enough to start , which is something you cant afford away from home at this level , they were passengers and hurt us terribly defensively . One starting is fair enough but all three is suicide , maybe giving them 20 or 30 minutes 2nd half would of been wiser but Lennys favouritism is detrimental to us on too many occasions. Fully fit players itching to prove themselves would of been wiser to start with.

Our captain tonight really set a good example :38: woeful and looked totally disinterested. The final third was non existent. I would have hooked Samaras after an hour and brought on Balde but instead we get an unfit Ledley. Lennon has to look at his decision making. Overall the better team won the game.

Beat AC and Barca beat Ajax and we're still in Europe after Christmas.

At times i thought we were outclassed tbh, they aren't a great side by any means but we were so poor it made them look like world beaters, in all honesty we got what we deserved from the game, * all.

Sammy didn't pull his weight tonight. Played a ball to Lustig on the wing, I think, & should have been busting a gut to get into the box but, instead, stood still & looked around, 35 yards from goal.

I agree, mate. I think the problem lies with the fact most on here just sit posting on this throughout the game. They don't realise people like us have a social life and go to pubs or games to see the tic. And obviously when we see such an abysmal performance people like us leave the boozer early and have a rant on this. They are just keyboard hard men who wouldn't know reality if it smaked them in the face.

I come on here and post very often when we win, but soon as I post the truth about our woeful team, people just can't take it. Usually it's not the die hard fans who detest seeing us getting beat, it's the part timers.

Forster was meh tonight I thought. Lustig and Van Dijk were fantastic. Rest were terrible, * off is an understatement. We just don't look like scoring at all, we need a proper striker. We've scored once from open play this year and it was a lucky deflection. Amazingly we can still qualify for the last 16, just need to beat AC and draw with a Barca B team, assuming Ajax can get a draw in the San Siro. :D

Tbf you have improved and this season so far have given some praise as well. He seems to just notice the negatives.

:56::56: "People like us leave the pub early" and you're trying to use that as a point scoring exercise over another Celtic fan.:56:

You leave the boozer early to have a rant on this?

Are you scared to rant in the boozer?

Commons should have been off at half-time, Kayal (a professional footballer who can't shoot) & Izzy were reckless (although Izzy wasn't the worst player on the pitch - did well to clear off the line). Mulgrew was alright. Have I touched on everyone? :smiley-laughing002:

Our set-pieces have been * shocking this season.
