That's just one of the teams that I've thought of, but I'm obviously missing a plethora of players out, such as Hartson, Lennon, Boruc, Brown, Sammy, Hooper and McGeady. Put them on the bench or something.

I honestly think that the team above could have done some serious damage in Europe, if they had all been from the same generation and at their peak.

Surprised that Virgil has already been picked twice and he's only been here for two months, just shows how highly people rate him though.

 

To be honest, I was toying with Paul Elliot - but I think van Dijk is pretty similar to Elliot, but has the potential to be FAR better.

Honourable mentions for Wilson and Hooper. I would have McNamara in but I don't really remember him to be honest! Lubo too but I'm not old enough to remember him playing.

 

Theres no * way that Van Dijk can be in any of these yet.

 

Obviously I understand where you're coming from.. but he's genuinely not put a foot wrong in his 2/3 months here.

He's played about 10 games, can't have him better than stalwarts who done it for Celtic for years.

That's the only reason that Marc Reiper isn't on mines, far and away the best defender I've ever saw at Celtic, didn't get a chance to do it on a consistent basis.
