    I forgot about that.

    Brilliant tackle.

Best Celtic picture of 2013-14 so far that I've seen. Look at the amount of turf being dug up. That's awesome.

The atmosphere was anything but subdued in the second half. I don't know how it came across as such on TV.

I know some people * hate the fact that most Celtic fans get on with fans from other clubs but I'd rather a "love-in" than opposition fans destroying our stadium, scrapping & generally acting like scummy *.

Ajax chose the violence and Celtic chose the football!

Heading to the match my brother and I got trapped in the chicken cottage at the Trongate because of the Ajax casuals running around smashing * up, will forever see that chicken cottage as a sanctuary now haha

Didn't think the police were prepared enough for them, they were running around like headless chickens. When we got to the forge there was a gathering of Celtic fans to go and fight them but there was 100 at the most and were all ages between 14-19. Must have been outnumbered about 5-1, not sure if they ever actually collided either.

Was a * fantastic match, never heard away fans so loud at CP (never been to an old firm game though!) but we did well to shut them up haha "YOUR NOT SINGING ANYMORE!".

Forster surely man of the match, made some great saves.

Correct. It was bouncing. I hate it when people judge an atmosphere when sitting on their * at home.

Fantastic win. :icon_mrgreen: Delighted. I think that was the only way Kayal was going to score after a 2 and a half year drought but we'll take it. :celt_2: Best game in quite some time. Virgil & Efe were immense yet again.

A win over there is definitely achievable, for all the good individual players Ajax have they're always vulnerable at the back. Pretty much why we've done better in Europe than them over the last 10 years, we've qualified 3 times since they last got to the Last 16.

Up there with the barca game imo...showed that we can play with the best. Atmosphere was superb. One of the best in years

First of all, start off by saying, * Ajax, and their scum of a support.

Second, absolutely delighted with the 3 points. Didn't play great by any stretch of the imagination, but we had to win, and we did. And with 3 key players missing also.

I thought Kayal, Ambrose & Van Dijk were the 3 stand out performers. One thing the baffled me however, was Lennon's decision to take Kayal off, and leave on both Stokes & Pukki. I thought that was a naive decision in all honesty. When I seen Ledley waiting to come on, my initial thought was that Pukki was a certainty to get hooked. We were 2-0 up, and I thought flooding the midfield made the most sense.

In fairness kayal hasn't played much and may well have been knackered

He wasn't looking it at the time I didn't think. You might be right, but he still looked like he had something left in the tank.

I thought Pukki was quite ineffective, I thought him off and Ledley on was a no brainer at the time in my opinion.

Well their we go, first 3 points in the bag. Ajax weren't all that great. The surprising thing was that Ajax didn't look that confident at the back and struggled to get the ball into midfield. The bhoys defended well from the front, pressed them and didn't let them settle.
Now it's all about sneaking a win away from home, which would set up the Milan game perfectly.

Wasn't impressed by Ajax at all actually, spend more time passing it between the two centre backs and goalkeeper than anyone else.

Agreed, think the goalie had 20 odd passes during the game.:smiley-laughing002:

The Ajax performance didn't really surprise me last night. I said a few weeks back, that although some people may have underestimated them slightly, there was a helluva lot overestimated their quality also.

They are a decent, neat and tidy enough team, but without a real cutting edge to their game. The majority of their passes are made in their own half, and very little are penetrating ones. At no point last night, was a I genuinely worried that we were going to be cut wide open by them.

The goalie probably had a higher pass ratio than the rest of the team. Our tactics were spot on once again.

I think we were a bit ragged in possession at times...we looked very dangerous on the break all night though

Then they say they were the better team because they had more of the ball...

    Yeh alright then.. :bbpd:

I know Viktor Fischer is a young guy but I thought he was utter * and looked like the type that thinks he is better than he is.

He's * now right enough as he'll only ever get his big move if Lustig lets him out his back pocket.
