Probably the biggest game of our season is only 4 days away.....Win it and the momentum is with us and we've got a decent chance of European football after Christmas.....a draw or a loss would put us in for one * of a long and boring season

One thing is for certain, we can't go all gung-ho. Discipline is vital. In both a tactical and yellow/red card sense

In my opinion they are nothing special....I'm in the camp that believes the Spartak team we took 6 points off are better than them. Last season in the CL they finished 3rd which was very good in that group, but that was partly down to Man City's and their CL shenanigans.....Put it this way, they then got put out of the EL Last 32 stage by Steau Bucharest, when they had Van der Wiel and Eriksen in the team.....I know we lost our 2 best players but still, I believe that VDW and Eriksen are a bigger miss for Ajax than Hooper and Wanyama are for us

    4-2-3-1 for me;

    Forster

    Lustig.........Ambrose.........Van Dijk.........Izzy

    Kayal/Ledley.........Mulgrew (Captain)

    Forrest.........Commons.........Samaras

    Stokes

The sitting midfielders could be a hard pick.....On merit it should be Ledley and Mulgrew cause they have played consitently well their, plus Kayal has been pish for ages....however, we could be very one footed in the middle of the pitch (wth commons too) which isn't the ideal scenario

Either way, I think that team would give us a good balance between attacking and defending.....I know we've not got an out and out goal scorer, but we do have a host of players who regularly chip in with their fair share

I don't agree that a draw or loss will result in a long or boring season but it is a huge game.

3 points will give us a great platform to have European football after Christmas and should be the least we should expect.

We have done a lot of growing up in Europe over the past three years and these are the games we should be looking to win, and we will.

Are you trying to become a parody of yourself now by deliberately calling out every positive post?

Celtic will beat Ajax next week, also i reckon we could see a few goals in this one.

Celtic could win 2-0, 3-1, 3-2, 4-1, 4-2... But we will beat Ajax, looking forward to the atmo too, Ajax will travel in numbers and create some noise. This for me will be the best game of the group football wise and atmosphere wise:celt_2:

We are not going to beat Ajax 3 or 4-1 it is borderline arrogance to suggest so. We rarely beat anyone by 3 clear goals in the Champions League. The last time we did it was against an average Benfica side. If we play like we did against Milan and Barcelona then we will win but even then it will be tight. We can't underestimate anyone as shakter karagandy demonstrated.

OK should we all just stay away because we might get beat or only win by the odd goal:rolleyes:

A must win game, but we're capable of beating them.

    2-1 or 2-0 :celt_2:

Looking forward to this, it will be close but the crowd will make the difference and we will win.
