McManus will probably be announced as captain. I've never known a captain to be back up.

 

No ross not having laugh just an opinion. Odea has great potential as did Kennedy although if Kennedy is fully fit he should be in the team. At 19 -20 Odea shouldt be relied upon for the whole season as for Mcmanus he is a honest solid defender but lacks positional sense and occasionaly allows decent forwards to run of him. He is still young and we need an experianced center back to be playing and Balde is all we have at the club if fit he is our best experienced centre back. ffs you wouldt play pressley would you.

Mcmanus sure will probably be made captain just wouldt be mine thats just my opinion. Currently Boruc would be my captain or even Naka as he captains Japan I know his english is * but his football can do his talking.

 

Fair enough , i dont think we should be bringing balde back into the team . The only way we will see McManus at his best is if we allow him to improve by playing him , same goes with Kennedy and O'Dea . Bringing balde into the team is a step back in my opinion and i dont think he would be much better than elvis .

 

He's past it, let the young ones like JFK and O'Dea have a go.

mcmanus is 24. o'dea is 19.
age has alot to do with defenders they NEED experience. celtic took a risk with mcmanus and it paid off, what if o'dea isn't as good as mick was last year and we've got rid of bobo and pressley? what if jfk takes another nock?

 

Sure Mcmanus Odea and Kennedy need to be playing to improve just would like to see an experianced centre back along with them from who they can learn from if not Balde ffs not pressley. Then we need to bring someone in. Maybe we could get Mjalby out of retirement lol

Forgetting the fact that he doesn't speak a word of English. Out of Mick, Naka and Boruc, Mick is the most consistent on the pitch and the most vocal. He is a natural organiser on the park and supports the club.

Why give the armband to a player who you don't know will be there at the end of this transfer window rather than next year?

 

Just think Mcmanus is to inexperianced to be captain just think if you are a top player that might be interested in comingto the club would you want to play under Mcmanus. Boruc and Naka have both played at world cups giving one of then the armband would make the most sense in regards to profile. Or perhaps we need to sign a captain

 

Naka doesn't speak English...

 

I know Naka cant speak english but his football does the talking and with the armband maybe might make him more consistant. He also has an interpretot although not ideal im sure he can get his point accross. He also has experiance of captainig Japan.

 

Nah... he isn't a leader... has no characteristics of a leader and isn't strong enough. Lack of communication added to this means Naka can't be captain.

Just think Boruc or naka as captain might atract better players to the club dew to their experiance at world cup level However I think we need to buy a leader as I dont realy see one currently at parkhead.

 

If Boruc would commit himself to the club he'd be my numero uno pick without doubt. Mick as vice-captain.

Bobo is paleyr to have if you are playin' against teams who just hoof it up the park but he is no good with the ball at his feet and can be quite rash/wreckless against speedy opponents. We lack pace and passing at the back and Darren O'Dea has got some pace(better than what we have have) at can control and play the ball well. He was immense in nearly every game he played last season-esp in the San Siro in which the 18/19 year old showed that he has the ability to play at the highest level. I'd go with him! (In a footballing sense only )

 

If Boruc stays- he's my first choice, Mick for vice.

 

No probs with Boruc for Captain and Mcmanus for vice.
