Dunno mate. Atletico beat them at the Bernabeu and drew at the VC in the league, are currently sitting top and of course beat them in the Copa Del Rey final at the Bernabeu last season.

My money would be on Atletico to turn them over.

Aye that's true. Just hard to judge how Atletico will handle the final run in of games in the league and CL, although they've done extremely well so far, it's getting to that squeaky * time! Think Real see the CL as the priority now this season as well since they're going for the 10th.

Wouldn't be so sure. Chelsea and athletico may not dominate teams in the same way the others do but they've proven they can grind out results against the better teams.

Atletico don't grind out wins, not in the same way Chelsea do.

They're not quite the same but in the CL they've not been destroying people. They're tough to score against and dangerous on the break.

Can see their game vs chelsea being an absolute borefest.

Atletico were playing far better football than Barca, especially the first half, They had the better shots and were unlucky not to win 3, 4-0.

Stats don't tell everything. They didn't 'grind out' that win.

I wouldn't have called that grinding out the win. They should have won the second leg about 4-0 or 4-1 if you count Neymar's chance he should have taken.

Wouldn't mind seeing Atletico winning it actually- I know they were * in the past, but it's nice to see a different team living the dream basically- their fans must be loving it this season.

Of course they could blow it and win * all.

How great would it be for the Champions League & the city of Lisboa, to have two giants of European football win the cup there. Celtic & Chelsea!!

I can see Chelsea winning it. They don't know when they're beaten. Mourinho brings something special to the table as well.

Atletico defend in style - they find the right balance and know when to attack and when to sit back.

Simeone is absolutely unreal, his tactics are superb. I can't believe I never knew more of him before.

I'l just have to jump on the bandwagon then....:icon_mrgreen:

I know what you are getting at. During the game the other night, although they had a lot more chances than Barca, they still had to grind the game out at times, as will every team usually at some point in the game against Barca. They showed they can do the ugly side just as well as they can go forward. I have to say, I'm a big admirer of them this season. They have been a breath of fresh air. After the loss of Falcao, nobody could have predicted how well they would of this year in my opinion.

He's up there with Conte, Guardiola and Mourinho as a tactician. Keen to see how his career develops. Can't see him staying at Atlético for long if they lose their star players.

They really are a breath of fresh air. The football Barcelona play - and even Bayern now - has become a bit stale. Great to see a team with a bit of grit and flair.

How long has he got on his contract, do you know?

I don't really know where he would go just now - probably the EPL, the Arsenal job no doubt.

If they can keep the bulk of their squad I think he may stay a few more years.

Losing Courtois is inevitable and I dunno who they can replace him with to be honest.
