Messi faces that a lot though, what they were also doing was completely choking the supply to him and the ball through anytime he did make a run. The intensity that they play with is frightening.

Do you not think a manager like Simeone could get Arsenal back to being major contenders?.

Not that he has any reason to leave.

It's hard to say really, EPL football is totally different than La Liga and Europe. I think he could though, plays good football and his defensive mind is frightening (not surprising considering the type of player he was). He certainly would add a bit of steel to them.

It would be interesting to see, I don't think he'll be at Atletico for too much longer though. It's almost a certainty Costa will go in the summer and maybe Koke, major part of there team. Would he fancy a rebuild or a top job? Who knows.

They're speaking as if the draw WILL be Atletico v Chelsea.

    HALBFINALE, OIDA! 3:1 against United!
What a game and atmosphere last night. It was most certainly a great experience to have an all-deciding nail-biting game to attend once again!
To get the game into the right mood from the beginning, Club Nr. 12 organised a striking choreography with the help of members of the Südkurve. One of Schickeria's capos was interviewed on the grass before the game to help explain how to proceed with the choreo. Wheresas Club Nr.12 hadn't organised... a choreography in a long time due to troubles with the club management, the interview would also have been impossible had the club not changed their "fan tactics" a few months ago. The Südkurve still isn't where it should be yet, but the path we've gone since our away season tickets were cancelled (and unconcealed after initial talks) last summer is incredible.
The result of the hour-long preparations was a unique (for Germany at least) switch from confetti to foil placards. As always, it was organised by the fans for fans without the club's financing, which must be surprising for the travelling Manchester support (and many other English teams). An English-speaking newspaper attested that even "the mosaics here are intimidating." Nice message, but they're not called mosaics - get it right.
We're all really excited about the semi final and the upcoming chance for another Europapokal-Tour. We get a feeling that most people in the Südkurve would prefer a trip to Madrid. Bayern can beat all teams if they go into the game with the right mindset, but we've travelled to London often in recent times...

I still can't believe Dortmund went out on Tuesday. Usually I can get over games fairly quickly but I can't stop thinking about that Mhikitaryan chance off of the post.

If they had just sunk 1-2 of those chances in the first game at the Bernebau aswell.

Aubameyang dilly-dallying about with his shot in the first match was a joke, thats what stands out, loads of them do.

Suppose Dortmund were just really unlucky - especially without a good chunk of their first team.

Disliking a certain team because their fans displayed a banner slagging the best Celtic captain that's ever lived and an absolute legendary icon to us isn't exactly a petty reason though is it?

That's probably one of their catchier songs. It usually just involves saying the word "Chelsea", over and over again.
