I would have said the three Amigos and Andy Thom were all team players, the fact they all keep an interest in Celtic and have nothing but good words, and Di Canio tried to return after Fergus left just gives me the impression that there was either promises broken or a misunderstanding between Fergus and them.

The influx of players was our best players leaving and a new manager taking over. Fergus done a lot for us and he's a far more important part of our history than the theee amigos but he was a hard nosed business man, I have no doubt he wouldn't have hesitated to shaft anyone over a penny.

Andy Thom, there's a blast from the past. One of the first players I think on with the bumblebee top. What a player :50:

Same mate. Remember a video I had around that time with Tommy and all these players in it. Billy Connolly opening the stand. And a fox running on the pitch at one point. Wish I knew where it was. Probably end up in tears watching it right enough, sentimental bassa that I am :56:

It was a game against the Huns when the fox ran on the pitch IIRC.

never liked the guy regardless that he used to play for us, in my opinion he's absolutely clueless as a manager as well

I didn't vote either way because I don't know enough about the circumstances of his departure. But I loved that team to bits and I loved DiCanio as a player.
It will be interesting to see how he gets on at Sunderland this season.

Fans took to him within minutes as he was the archetypal 'bums off seats' player.

As a person I just cannot take to him though, his passion is misdirected with such striking regularity all I see when I watch him speak is a complete *.

He was fantastic for that season. I'll never forget watching the 'golden boot' goal at Pittodrie in the Vogue in Rutherglen :)

Gutted when he left with Cadete.

Fergus McCann was notoriously difficult to get money out of. I wouldn't be surprised if Di Canio's version of events is the truth.
