The referendum will result in the maintenance of the Union and the status quo. All this will show is that the Scots are perhaps the most servile, spineless nation of people on the planet.

 

I'm not sure about that. What it will tell me is that we are what the English often stereotype us as - a nation of money grubbers. There have been surveys carried out that show a majority of Scots would vote for Independence if it would make them £500 a year(£10 a week) better off.

It sickens me to think that our country will turn down the chance to be Independent for what amounts to £10 a week. Even more so when I think about some of the other brave nations around the world who have fought tooth and nail to gain their Independence.

 

Well there's nothing positive to be said about Scotland when it won't vote for independence, that's for certain. Catalonia would do anything to be given the opportunity afforded to Scotland.

The difference is that those nations had it far worse than we do now do there's less incentive for scots to go for independence.
