Our * league, * lifestyle and this bolded part are why the transfer fees you've quoted are irrelevant.

Probably been said previously, but we didn't deserve that last night. Totally outplayed Milan at the San Siro all over the park, and then lost to a deflected goal that was going at least 5 yards wide.

Totally devastated to be honest, but we should have had a lead by that time of the game. Our final ball was not up to scratch and Commons has got to learn that he can't score from every position on the park.

All in all, I'm very pleased with how we played, it's arguably the best I've seen us in Europe, all that was missing, was the most important part of all, a goal. Because I think if we had scored, we had enough about us to hold on to the lead, or perhaps make it more comfortable. I know they had a few injuries, but Milan were very poor I thought.

This is true. Shows how far we've come under Lennon.

Disappointing result but i said before the game all I wanted was a good performance so for that well done Bhoys, and move on to the next one doesnt get any better than playing the likes of Milan, Barca and Ajax in the CL.

Balde on for Stokes would have been the substitution to have made. Commons and Matthews were tiring, but i think they could have seen the game out and just sat in and taken the draw.

Balotelli made the difference in the end, but we're progressing as a team, and we can take some big, big positives out the game. Mulgrew and Brown ran the midfield and were outstanding against Muntari and De Jong. Matthews and Mulgrew are giving us a really good balance in midfield. Ambrose and Van Dijk were solid.

Another time we'd have had Ledley to come off the bench and close the game out, but not only could we have had a draw, we should really have won the game because it was their for the taking.

Oh aye and i thought Stokes did well, could have had 2 or 3 goals, but he was a bit unlucky. It's a learning curve for the players and Lenny. We're really close to be able to deal with teams away from home, but you have to feel a bit sorry for Balde. He was signed for games like this against a big powerful team and we put on two kind of lightweight guys in attack, when what we needed was some power off the bench.

An O.G and a free kick that was given for theatrics from Balotelli. He'll be smiling this morning, but everybody can see that Barca would have taken ten off them last night.

I guess now it comes down to turning these chances into goals. One more pass here and their, Van Dijk hitting the free kick from 8 yards out, Stokesy taking a fraction of power off his free-kick, or someone tackling Balotelli in the last ten minutes, Izzy getting out of the way of the shot and Broony not trying to be fly against the serial diver that is Balotelli and the game could quite easily have been 2-0 to us.

But the good thing is, we looked quite at home playing in the San Siro and we didn't park the bus. We played good football and took players on.

No matter the league we play in, no matter the gulf in finance it didn't really show for most of the game, so it's not that relevant. We were just a bit short in midfield for the last ten minutes, we tired a bit and Milan brought some real quality off the bench.

The subs backfired a bit for us at a time when their was no need to go chasing the game. Their manager expected our subs, begged for them really. The one thing that would have have to think again would have been bringing Balde, because the AC Milan manager bottled playing and attacking side, which says a lot about our players really.

Top marks to Lennon for getting the team playing well again in such a short space of time after losing the spine of the team.A couple more SPFL games and we'll know whether Pukki,Biton and co are worthy for their place in the starting 11 for CL games.

Things are still looking incrediblity well from our frighten despair of the summer transfers. Heb celt is correct, the more games this new lineup plays the better we will get. :50:

its a hard result to take, and we should be sitting level on points with Milan and above Ajax. But the performance was fantastic and everyone worked their socks off. Its gona be a big ask to get anything from the Barca game next, and we don't want to be sitting on 0 points after 2 games. I feel we can beat Ajax at home, draw away to them and get at least a draw if not a win v Milan at home, and who knows, Barca could be through by the time we play them in December and could rest many players like they did last year. To be honest I would be happy to finish 3rd and maybe get a run in the Europa lge. I know its less money but we are a football team and I would rather see games than pound signs at this stage. We have enough money banked from CL last year, the 20mil we will make this year plus the money the signings brought in. The future is green

I actually don't agree with the "deserved a draw" -opinions. Evenly contested match without a doubt, but it doesn't mean a draw would have been deserved. Celtic froze in front of Milan goal with the few good chances they got. Should have done better from those. It's not enough to get the chance and if you can't score from good places, surely you don't deserve to score at all. Also, Milan got a lot of shots during the game and even though they failed to score from most of their opportunities, they managed to score two by the end of 90 min.

    Best team lost.

After watching that last night we have nothing to fear when they come to parkhead. Can't fault any of them its just the usual lucky goals that haunt us.

Only way is up, we made them look * last night.

I don't agree with the deserved a draw stuff either.Celtic deserved to win,and they were unlucky not to,despite the fact they could've been more clinical in finishing.

    Milan were incredibly lucky.

brown was fantastic, really pleased for him last night, he was my man of the match. But sadly we were just poor in front of goal and really lacked any sort of invention required to score a goal. I'm not confident about this season in the CL, we've got a good midfield and solid enough defence but the difference lies up front where we have nothing that will threaten champions league sides. I know some of you guys are big stokes fans but you're kidding yourself if you think he can make any sort of impact at this level. We'll play some cracking football that will be forgotten when we continue to fail to score goals.

i dont think we deserved a draw either we * about and didnt get 1 good ball into the box all night when milan were all over the place .for a team full of big men our attacking threat from corners is a joke and instead of getting a sub on to create an chance when we were in the accendency lennon waited and waited.Again samaras done * all for attack and * all for the defence should have been the first player off managed to play 90 mins. milan created a couple of good chances we didnt

One thing that's * is they will probably have the majority of their injured squad back in November, which you'd imagine would make them a lot harder to beat. Also they are going through a really * spell at the moment.
