Are you for real? A free shot at goal from ten yards is not a good a chance as a free kick from 25 yards? The outcome of a chance doesn't dictate how good a chance it was in the first place :smiley-laughing002: Van Persie missing an open goal from two yards was not as good a chance as Stokes' free kick by your reasoning. The free header that they blazed ove the bar from about 10 yards was also a much better chance than any we had.

You try being a manager and thinking this is here for the taking I'm going to throw on two experienced players that have played in quality teams to try and push for that wining goal! It was there for the taking and yeh maybe throwing him on may have worked that way maybe we should have just played for the point after realising we weren't going to score some people just don't See it that way it was a case of when we were going to score until 1-0 happend

I have an idea! Let's go into the editor and change the board's ambition to 20!

No, you're right. Let's simply tread water ad infinitum and never hold or inflame any superior ambitions. Anytime we somehow string a decent team together we should sell the best assets, ensuring their replacements are of lower or at least similar quality and under no circumstances should upward improvement be made.

I couldn't possibly, I'd miss tweets about winning scoreshots in the opponents end zone denied by the top side of the bar framework.

When you are looking back at a game of football 'chances' are dictated by how close you came to scoring. We hit the bar, they headed well over.

They lucked out in the end, we didn't. Our 'lack of chances' is utter bullshit, to be blunt.

I honestly don't know why you dignified that post with an answer, Diegan.

Next time maybe we'll score a full touchdown on Scotland instead of just a safety and a field goal. :86:

Why is the fact that they use a different terminology so funny to you? The US is so big that even though only a minority of its population is into football, they still have more football fans than we do in Scotland.

We hit the bar, they scored two goals, I genuinely don't get where you're coming from with this :56: They created more clear cut goalscoring oppurtunities than us, that's a fact. They lucked out with their goal but if you allow a team to have more than 20 shots at your goals, the odds are that one will go in one way or another.

I think we played really well and I was genuinely proud of the boys tonight, but I'm not * blind.

It is the board that are in charge though. They run a very tight ship. I think the fear is that we will end up like our pals on the other side of Glasgow if we do splash the cash. Once the newco are in the league again I think we will see more spending.

While it wasn't quite the same as Juve for some reason i feel its Juve all over again. We had a fair chunk of possession away from home which is unusual for us, it was a clean 50/50 against a good but not brilliant Ac Milan side.

Our defending was good, centrally efe and virgil look a solid and commanding partnership. Lustig was good combining with matthews. Thought Izzy was a wee bit hazy, i find his positional awareness to be atrocious, there were times in the match he could have been caught out.

Wasn't aided much by Samaras jaunting around as if he was waiting for his hair appointment. Really thought sammy was poor tonight, didn't do enough going forward and left izzy isolated two on one on a few occasions.

Apart from him i thought the rest played well. Same story though, our play in the final third simply wasn't good enough, plenty of possession but like Juve we didn't test abbiati enough in goal. Our crossing from wide positions was atrocious and our corners weren't great either.

Sucker-punched at the end there with the deflected goal but i could see it coming a mile off.

No doubt you'l be dissapointed if we dont put at least 4 goals past barca in 2 weeks. It's a recognition of how far weve come in the last few seasons....the only thing that * me off was the poor attitude last season on domestic games dropping points after midweek euro games...we have NO right to compete every single game against world class players when we dont have any here ?
